The food was okay, but there were a few disappointments. The Brunswick stew didn’t have any meat in it and was disgustingly overpowered by the tomato sauce. The pulled pork sandwich didn’t come with BBQ sauce — you have to pay extra for it. The meal felt cheap, and it kind of reflects in the overall quality. Not terrible, but definitely a “you get what you pay for” experience.

Not the best bbq but not bad either. The ribs were tender and the chopped bbq was tasty. Coleslaw was good. I did not like the Brunswick Stew at all!! I’ve definitely had better!! Service was awesome. Everybody was nice and friendly. Old relics for the decor tie into the country feel along with some soft country music playing on a little radio…I loved it!! Has a drive-through too. I’d go back for the bbq sandwich!!

Great pulled pork it’s got a good “kick” in it’s sauce. I’ll be back to try the ribs real soon

Stopped in for lunch as we were passing through town and that was a terrible mistake! Sign says “Best bbq in Georgia” but that must be from decades ago because it was awful. Ordered the brisket sandwich and it was more like a beef jerky sandwich, dry and flavorless. It was served on stale white bread and their sauce was not good either. The coleslaw and potato salad were just as bad. Should be criminal to call what they serve bbq! Never again.

A lot of the reviews involve taste. I’ve been to many bar-b-que joints, unfortunately this one is not one of my favorites. They only offer one vinegar based sauce that is hard to keep as the meat. Very unique Brunswick stew and coleslaw. Service was friendly and efficient. Nice atmosphere and plenty of parking available.

Great BBQ sandwiches. Fast Friendly service. Favorite restaurant in Milledgeville. They do not serve beer but it works to make it great meal. Also that is a 40 oz mug so it might make Sandwich look smaller that it is.

The most UNDERWHELMING culinary experience I’ve ever had with BBQ. The brisket on the brisket platter had the consistency of bologna. The Brunswick Stew should be called anything else except Brunswick Stew. The sign says Best in Georgia, they’re not even the best on the lot that the business is on. It was NOT worth of the 22 dollars I paid for what I thought was Georgia Best. I wouldn’t recommend…

BBQ Pork had a distinctive smoked flavor. Baked beans could have been a little less watery. White bread. Sauce was vinegar based and watery. I added a little sweetener to the potato salad.

This place is horrible!!! Do NOT eat here if you want flavor!! We ordered a rib sandwich to go and got two pieces of bread with ribs just thrown on the plate and watered down bbq sauce! Yes it was watered down!!! Called to ask about what this was supposed to be and the “manager” said it was “ vinegar”?!! No it’s not! A 8 y/o child knows the different taste between “vinegar” and water! I understand times are tough but don’t flat out lie to me.

The BBQ sandwich was very dry, the sauce to runny, the brunswick stew had NO meat and no flavor. But for the ONLY barbeque place in Milledgeville, Georgia what can you expect with no other place to compare.
