Maybe it was my fault ordering at 1am but both pasta sauces were so grainy and while the flavors were good enough to eat, it didnt taste like a baked ziti or a chicken alfredo.
I do compliment both pasta being al dente, when many establishments overcook the pasta.
The garlic bread was upsetting as parts of it was crunchy, and other parts seemed stale. Butter on one side, burnt garlic on the other side. My husband ate all his bread but i couldn’t.
Neither of us finished the pasta and we threw away the leftovers.

Ill just try the pizza next time i guess.

I ordered the Chicago Meat Lovers pizza from Old Chicago Pizzeria, and what I received was NOT Chicago-style at all. It looked and tasted like a regular meatloaf pizza — nothing like the photo they advertised. When I brought this to the server’s attention, they told me they don’t even sell Chicago-style pizza, which makes the advertising completely misleading.

Instead of helping, the staff became argumentative when I asked for my money back. Between the false advertising and the unprofessional customer service, this was a complete waste of time and money. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone expecting an honest menu or respectful service.

I’ve been coming here for the better part of 7 years and even after I moved away I came to eat here recently while visiting and the pizza is still one of one. We had a large barbecue style pizza split between me and a friend of mine and we could barely walk out on on the account on how full we were.

The service was immaculate as the cashier would regular check up on us and ask us if we need anything. Of course all was good in the food department we were one slice away each me and my friend from finishing it. We thought about leaving the restaurant and finishing it later and we both looked at each other and agreed no this pizza has to go cuz it’s simply too good.

This place is a stable to me and will be one of the places I go to every time I visit back to this area. Even so to my dear reader I need to convey on how I feel about this place so to put it simply had I been on death row and offered one last meal I would have asked for Old Chicago’s barbecue style pizza.

Thank you for the read and please do yourself a favor and head to this pizza shop.

Greek salad with chicken was bad even for a pizza place. Mostly just iceberg lettuce. Extra charge for chicken over the regular greek salad is understandable if the chicken wasn’t a pounded-out, overcooked, chopped mess. Meatball sub had 7 slivers of meatball that, if combined, would be equal to maybe less than 3 meatballs. The meatballs were obviously the same meatball toppings they use for the pizzas, so they were more over-processed dense sausage bits than actual meatballs. I’m not expecting homemade, but these were very low quality. Meat stromboli looked ok, but I cut into it and there’s barely any meat – like the meatball sub, 90% bread. Absolute joke of a restaurant. Definitely wouldn’t order again even if it was the only place open at night. Wouldn’t recommend eating here at all even if the price points were $3 lower than they are for each item.

We had an awesome time here this evening. We stopped on our way into DC, picked up the metro right here next to the restaurant. We had some time to kill so we had dinner and we loved it. We had some pizza and several sandwiches between us and it was all so good. The owner’s family was serving us and they were outstanding. If you are near by I would definitely recommend.

I stopped in here after the Marine Corps Marathon (as did a number of other runners staying in the area). I was attracted by the sign outside advertising UFO burgers. The menu ended up being very expansive with a wide variety of non-pizza items (in fact, a majority of items weren’t pizza). The UFO burgers weren’t on the menu, but the owner told me that was because they were new.

I can’t speak to how this place is as a pizzeria, but the food I got was awesome. The UFO burger was juicy and the right amount of messy, when too often the burgers in these are very overcooked. The gyro was outstanding and one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The meat clearly was freshly carved and piled on so generously that half of it had to be eaten with a fork because it was too overstuffed to eat as a sandwich.

I ended up spending quite a while hanging out and talking to the owner as well, who was an incredibly friendly and approachable individual who tended personally to every guest who came in.

The portions were huge and the prices were very fair (less than $20 for the burger, gyro and fries). I would repeat often if I was a local. I’ll definitely return if I’m back in the area.

The Philly cheese steak sub is top! The owner was so nice! If I’m near by I’ll definitely be stopping for a sub! The price is very reasonable too.
