I’m going to be real blunt. I went during a really busy day, the staff up front commented that it was worse than normal. I submitted it at 632, and ended up literally waiting for an hour and a half. I ordered a beer burger, with fries and blue cheese, and one of their cookies.
I did get it all, but left around 8. I understand that it was abnormally bustling, and told them I was mostly fine waiting, as long as the order was done with care.
I’ve never been here, but they ended up giving me what felt like a tiny amount of fries, and the burger was cooked to medium well, almost well done, instead of just medium/medium rare. To top it off, the burgers char came in more prominent than the actual beer batter and onion bits. It made the whole thing taste bland. Incredibly disappointing.
What’s even worse though, is I live with the someone who recommended it, and even bumped into this day because they had ordered their food at 654, picking it up at around 730, something I wasn’t even aware of at the time. They had also ordered the same burger with fries at the same temp as I had, and they also had gotten medium well, but it was more medium than mine was.
All in all, if you want to go to this restaurant, only do it during a non busy time for them. That’s generally a good rule for resteraunts in general, but especially this one. The staff being amazing is not comparable to how rushed the cooks can be.y camera unfortunately saturates pictures I take, so It appears as a overall pink instead of what it was, brown.

I am so tired of getting ripped off by restaurants. Two weeks ago I ordered the chicken pesto Alfredo to go. I had to hunt to find any chicken at all it was pitiful. Figured I’d give em another try and got the “tender meal” I spent $19 on after tax and a small tip. I don’t know how they can call this a meal these tenders are the size and thickness of a finger. Not even 1 oz per tender. I don’t know how the kitchen even put this out or puts next to zero chicken on an almost $20 “chicken pesto Alfredo” meal. Beyond over getting scammed and won’t be back to this place.

Stopped in this morning and had one of the best restaurant experiences i’ve ever had. My sever Alexia sat us promptly and provided excellent service. It seemed as though she was the only one working which i found to be very impressive. The food was good, pretty average for a sit down pizza restaurant but i’m a huge fan of the italian nachos. i would highly recommend the strawberry basil lemonade, it was delicious!

Alex was the man! We ordered pepperoni rolls and a large pizza for the table. He was speedy. The drinks came out super quick. It wasn’t super busy inside either so we were seated right away. Would totally recommend visiting this Old Chicago if you want a great dinner 🙂

We’ve been to Old Chicago several times for this Three-fer special which is a really good deal. I’m sure we went on the weekend before but today they told us it is not available on weekends. It’s not the waitress’s fault but we pointed out that none of the menus, specials signs or flip boards on the tables say the special is only available on weekends days she just said “some of them say it just not these. The food was pretty average, but we waited a really long time (I only saw one waitress), we never got drink refills and we had to ask for everything – even silverware and boxes.

Stopped by while visiting from out of state and happy we did! The food was delicious (especially the pizza rolls!), and neither of us left hungry, and there was even more pizza to take home with us. Stop in and give them a chance. You might find a new favorite too!

Everything took way longer than it should have. I’m gluten intolerant and I found pasta noodles in my broccoli and they served me my gluten free grilled chicken breast as a fried chicken breast … Had to send it back and wait another interminably long time. I could have cooked my own food faster. Perhaps I should have gone back into the kitchen myself. Our waiter was very kind, though under trained. He shows promise though. However I will not be returning. Ever.

Table of four for a dying breed fantastic Pizza and great atmosphere. Not really sure why so many of these old Chicago’s have closed but it is a travesty. Ordered half an order of the Italian nachos and the pizza rolls for an appetizer. Followed up by the Thai pie pizza, chicken Caesar salad and western berger for the main course. Food was fantastic, as for sometimes you just don’t know what you’re going to get depending on time and day. Took quite a while to get the final course. Our server kind of seemed preoccupied and maybe a little too busy to help us and be attentive. Restaurant seemed clean and tidy.

My husband and I had lunch celebrating veterans day. He wanted to order his favorite Chicago 7 pizza. The free mini pizza only came with 1 topping. So he ordered a full size for $27. I ordered a salad. We waited for almost an hour and a half to get the food. No apologies or anything. The waiter was horrible, didn’t know much, didn’t check to see if we needed anything, not even a bill. We were tempted to just get up and leave. We went to the register and our waiter was there. He had to ask us what we ordered. We feel that for what we paid, it was not worth it and may never come back. Total price was $52, for lunch?

Chicken tenders were extremely small and pizza had tons of onions added after it was cooked. In addition paid $4 more to have fries and may have gotten 20 tops. Worst experience at Old Chicago, last time food seemed not up to the usual norm, but today quality was worse. Not sure we’ll be back even though beer club member
