I’ve eaten at this Old Chicago several times in my life and it’s always been fine service wise but food wise it’s normally good or even great. That was not as much the case tonight. Their appetizers are better than their entrees. The Italian nachos and pepperoni rolls are always so good! I used to love their Chicago thick crust pizza, and usually order that. This time I got one that wasn’t thick at all but instead had a similar thickness to something you’d find at a delivery place. I’m not sure if they changed their crust recipe or what but it wasn’t as tasty as it used to be and obviously not nearly as thick as usual, especially when you look at the photo I took of my pizza. Not sure I’ll go back for a while and when I do, I’m ordering something else besides a “Chicago thick crust” pizza because it isn’t truly thick.

I am so disappointed. Normally I go to management before posting a unfavorable review, but I can’t even quite wrap my mind around the food quality. It was so marginal and then the dessert was absolutely inedible. Dry hard crusty, the brownie was from a gross mix, and like weeks old and the donut holes were like chewing bubble gum. With no flavor.

We had placed a $1,200 order for my agency’s Open House. There was a miscommunication and the manager yesterday morning was not alerted to the order despite me calling last week and talking to another person to confirm it. Despite this, they still had everything ready an hour later, on time. I was highly impressed. We ordered 5 of the family meal packs ($125 each) which was 25 pizzas, 5 huge salads, a dozen large cookies and 80 boneless wings. I am so glad this location saved the day and greatly appreciated their commitment to getting it done!!

It’s sad that so many Old Chicago locations have permanently closed, but this one is in a prime location and I hope it lasts. The food was great. We got the Chicago 7 pan pizza, Italian nachos, and spaghetti and meatballs. The only negative was that there wasn’t much sauce on the spaghetti. We got a little more sauce. The food was good and the drinks were good. No real complaints. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Not a good visit for us. We go for dinner, Friday at 5pm, and we’re immediately told to go to the bar. Apparently they had no servers in the dining room.
At the bar we were ignored to the point that we had to go back to the host to get menus. Then she gave us menus without prices so we had to go back and get real menus. A little after we came in another couple came in. Sat at the bar a few tables down. The server immediately got their drink order. Then served them their drinks before even greeting us.
We ordered drinks and dinner and as we finished dinner she asked if we wanted more drinks…. Nope, just the bill, which came 10-15 minutes later. No drinks, no food, nothing to do but just sit there and wait. Finally we were able to pay it and leave. What a cluster! Not going back anytime soon.

Food was cold. Spoke with the Manager and let her know that I will pay for all food and drink except the one menu item that was cold. I let her know that I will not be leaving a tip. After paying the $67 the waiter Kevin decided to say something very rude. This caused the “regulars ” to decide to jump in and threaten me and my husband. We have been going to this establishment since they opened. Every time we have came in Kevin is rude and belligerent. I am personally scared to come in to the restaurant and fear retaliation.

I like that it isn’t crowded. Probably the time of day we go. But the service is standard. Nothing special about it. Just getting the job done. The food was half and half. Mine was great, girlfriend’s was wrong and not good. Still cold in the middle.

Staff are friendly and there are occasional fun events (trivia, bingo, etc). Beer tour club is fun if you’re into beer. Food is fine but the portions-to-price ratio and quality seem off. I got an entree chop salad and very little of it was “chopped” and it was more like a side salad.

Food was good. This review is regarding the poor service we experienced. Our waitress left us without drinks for a good 15 minutes. She only had a couple tables so it’s not that she was busy, I would’ve understood that. She checked on the other two tables and asked them if they need anything, drinks, to go box, etc. but kept walking past us. I had to call her just to get her to stop by. Very rude when she did stop by, I never did get my drink. Took forever to get our check and box to go. I don’t understand this kind of service, and then these servers wonder why they don’t get a tip. This has happened several times now, I will never go back to this restaurant again.

I am very happy with my meals I have had. The service was great. Abby was my server today she was very nice and deserves a raise. The best server ever I highly recomend she suggests the Peperoni Rolls. I have had the wings, burgers, and lots more. The Root Beer Floats are very good, I was not a big fan of the Fanta Float. The manager Monica was very nice and respectful. I dined in and took out the Buffalo Wings are to die for. Nick was my server for the first time I dined in, he was very kind and respectful, I really felt like all the staff very kind and respectful.
