Mediocre experience. Server was nice but inattentive to our table. Disappeared for lengthy time. Took 20 mins or more to get drinks. 10 mins before came to us to take order then another 10-15 mins to make 3 sodas and walk them 2 feet over to us. We were seated in the bar area.
Bread sticks came out fresh, hot and were delicious. Well seasoned and perfectly cheesy . We were starving and inhaled them so fast I forgot to take a pic.
Our order consisted of Spaghetti and Meatballs, BBQ Burger with tots and pizza with side cesear salad.
The spaghetti came out look warm which was very disappointing. But it was very tasty and filling. Sauce was full of flavor and so were the HUGE meatballs. I can only imagine how much better it would have been hot. Would def order this again.
The BBQ Burger was reported to be well cooked and yummy. It was also mildly warm when it came out. Tots were reported to be well seasoned and mildly warm also.
Pizza was reported to be ok. It was also only warm. Son wasn’t too impressed with it and he loves pizza.It looked very fake… like premade frozen pizza. He didn’t eat but 2 small slices of it. Cesar salad was basic. Oddly enough the lettuce was warm instead of cold.
So what I gather from all the temperature issues is that the food was made and sat out.
That’s disappointing. If it was brought out fresh I bet I could have given this a much higher rating.
Refills were a struggle to get. She gave my husband and son 1 refill then never came back to check on us until it was time for the check.
And again.. it was not even close to being busy. I counted 8 families in the whole place from time we arrived to time we left.

Food was very good. The chicken caprese sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. Fries were perfect. Individual sausage pizza was good (sandwich was better!). Jennifer, the server, was both charming and beautiful. Very professional service. The only complaint: the place looked like it had been hit by a tornado when we walked in. Almost every table was trashed. Maybe the bus person called off.

My wife and I were looking for a place to eat on our last night in Rockford and we stumbled upon this establishment. I’m not so sure we made the right decision.
We walked in and noticed it was about half full, which is usually a good thing on a Wednesday evening. We saw there were a few employees standing and chatting, but when they saw us, it took a few seconds for one of them to walk over and seat us. It’s not a deal breaker at all, just setting up for later in this review.
Our server came over rather quickly and took our drink orders, returning shortly thereafter to take our food orders as well. The pretzel sticks came out, and while they were good, the beer cheese was not served warm. Rather, it was cold, which is something we hope was either an oversight or just the way they do it there.
We each got a small pizza – my wife with the Hawaiian and Me with the Thai Pie. Both pizzas were good! The Hawaiian had an ale crust that was tasty and the Thai had a sweet chili sauce that matched well with the toppings.
The issue we had is with the service and the time it took to get our food and, subsequently, the check. We were sitting there for the better part of 10 minutes before our server even noticed we were done eating and asking if we wanted to pay. She was either chatting it up with the bartender or in back doing something else. Her other tables had no problem getting their boxes and what not. Maybe we were just the outcasts, as we were in the corner tables?
Regardless, if in the area again, we won’t go back. There are other establishments that we can try.

Dinner for 5 with 20% tip=$158.00. Mediocre food that you’ll get preportioned fries with each meal. I think that was the worst part. I rarely finish my fries but not filling out a plate with them feels criminal and looks like the restaurant is deliberately trying to cheat me on a $20 chicken sandwich meal with drink. Idk this place use to be jumping and after the bar rescue days came through and took out the pool table and gaming area and the beer selection stayed more main stream instead of taking risks this place hasn’t been the same. I think corporate really needs the sell this place to a private owner that can breathe some life back into what was once the prime craft beer and app spot where everyone would go to watch the games. Miss the early to mid 2000s Old Chicago. When Troy was bartending this place was so fun to be at and converse with other patrons even if you were just a party of 1. Corporations keep ruining what made them special only to eventually close up and fade into the darkness. This review is in no reflection on the people working there I think they were great.

My friend and I decided to go have a bite to eat and we decided on Old Chicago since we hadn’t been there in years we had our heart set on the Italian nachos the food was good but the service was subliminal wasn’t the greatest but out server Sara was doing her best and we waited for our drinks for awhile because the bartender decided that talking to the bar guest was more important when we asked for our drinks Sara told us she was waiting for the bartender to stop talking.Like I said we enjoyed the food but was disappointed that nobody helped Sara or a Manager never stepped up to the plate as she was a little busy as tables got sat the guy manager thought talking to his employees or people sitting at the end of the bar was more important,Not once did he ask if everything was OK or talk to any of the tables for that matter just chilled at the bar now as I am in the restaurant business and we have standards although the food was good the service wasn’t the greatest. Sara did her best with the little help she got and the bartender was more delighted to talk to guest who obviously already had drinks instead of focusing on everyone.

We were greeted & seated right away with a smile. She gave us enough time to view the menu, got our drinks right away. We ordered the large pan pizza with 3 toppings. It was so good, the crust has a good flavor. Very filling, took some home.

Honestly, the food was spectacular! I had6nt been there for several years and now I want to go back! Our server Madison had inly been there a few weeks and she was great! Kind, fun and so nice!
