->No prices on beer; more staff than patrons for a reason<-
Staying at the hotel next door, we decided it was a good time for beer and early dinner (4pm on a Friday).
I counted 8 staff and 3 tables of 2 diners.
Yet there were still dirty tables all around (food, plates, garbage etc), why?
Extensive beer list, but…our first choice…she comes back “sorry we’re out of that”.
Our second choice…she comes back…”sorry we’re out of that”.
Our third choice…she comes back…”sorry we’re out of that too”
I asked “what DO you have?”
She told us a few, we got them, then were surprised at the end that the beers were over $10 each (as there are no prices on the beer list anywhere but there’s lots of signage for happy hour and late night specials)
And that may sound “cheap” but while we were there, both other tables, we overheard the diners ask about their bill and why it was so high.
They couldn’t believe how high the beer prices were (no $ on the menu)
Two fellas came in from the patio, they’d had 2 beers each and were shocked at a $58 bill.
Anyway, food was all right (fish and chips / crispy chicken sandwich) and came out quickly enough (20 min).
Not a huge portion but ‘enough’.
Oh yeah, and the waitress forgot the water we had asked for not once, or twice, but three times!
If the place had been busy, that would be different. It wasn’t.
When we left, we were the last ones there, except for the 8 staff.
(and the dirty tables still weren’t cleaned)
I don’t think we’ll be back.

Food was great, just what I expected. The kitchen forgot to make our appetizer but when we asked about it the server apologized, told us what happened and asked if we still wanted it. Because of time he asked if we would like it to go and boxed it for us. Without asking they offered to make it right on the bill. Definitely took care of us and kept us happy with the service.

Pizza was good, however we had 1 person’s food come out 10 minutes later and then the last person got their food 15 minutes later. Had to ask for refills and silverware. The Iowa Hawkeye s football game was on and they said that they are only going to have it on the smallest of their 21 tvs on the other side of the room. Less than great experience

Staying at hotel next door. Reading reviews was a little worried. Everything was wonderful from service to drinks! Servers very on top of things,.I had the drink special the cranberry margarita, it was delicious! I had the calzone was wonderful. My husband had a tavern style pizza and absolutely loved it. Will definitely be back!

Our delivery order was incorrect, half the order was missing, our driver went back to get the rest of the order and the chicken tenders were absolutely gross looking and unedible and we didn’t have any utensils to eat our salads, wings, or yogurt.

We are a party of 4, in town for a volleyball tournament. Upon arrival, tons of open tables and was told a 15 min wait because a 30 person party was coming. (Which never arrived.) We were sat immediately. Our waiter was very attentive, it was not his fault it took 50 minutes for our fried pickle appetizer. He did not bring us napkins or plates. The couple behind us said they were waiting for over an hour and another table of 6 was there longer and still didn’t receive their food. The wait staff excuse said they had a $300 Door Dash order. Our food came out about 20 minutes later. My husband’s pizza was cold. He returned it and said no need to replace it. A manager eventually came out to the seating area. But seemed unphased. Our waiter removed my husband’s pizza and gave us a $30 discount on our bill. The restaurant is attached to a hotel. They should have the capability to manage large take out orders and dine in customers in a timely fashion. Should of went to Olive Garden. My husband picked up Chic a fil on our way back to our hotel.

The food was pretty good, but was very greasy. They brought out our appetizers pretty quickly, but my husband’s entree didn’t come out for about 20 minutes later. He got the fish and chips but the fish was about the same as frozen fish from the grocery store. The staff was nice, but we had to ask for plates, napkins, and to-go boxes. Our server only checked on us once. In my opinion it was not worth the price. I probably won’t go back.

We got seated and then no one waited on us. Didn’t even acknowledge us. Not a drink, glass of water-nothing. Got up and asked for help from the front greeting staff and then continued to sit there with out anyone acknowledging us. We sat for over a half an hour with our menus and not a single server even came by and said we will be right with you. When we saw others come in afterwards and get approached; we got frustrated-it seemed like there was no organization and the servers were just running around and no one was supporting them. Itwasn’t like they were ignoring just us, they were ignoring many groups.
On our way out -we left and took our business elsewhere -the host said many people were leaving frustrated. Can’t say they have bad service-they basically have NO service.

7/13/24 Came here today for lun ch and my fiance had pizza and I had calzone. Food was fantastic and the atmosphere was cool. Our server Austin seemed like he did not want to be here. We were not done with our food and just walked up and said let me get me your bill. I wanted desert but were never asked. He seemed very distracted. Our 1015th review. Thank you
