After successful 6 years at the old location, in May 2025 restaurant has moved to new location with beautiful views of lake, castle and island. We have changed location only, everything else stays same. Still working with local produce as much as possible.

Reviews
We decided to try both this one and the “original” location. Without a shadow of doubt it’s the people who make a restaurant and not the location. Old Cellar Bled (Lake View) was the better experience across the board! Right out the gate the staff welcome you in at the front door, the restaurant looks great and has a luxury feel.
The food was fantastic! We had the King Prawns (which were super tender), the Lamb Shank (my favorite meal of the whole trip), and two desserts. An order of the bled cake and a local dessert called Gibanica. The staff was very friendly and kind as well which is how it should be when paying these prices. Overall, you should totally check this place out!
There is plenty of outdoor seating. Tables by the waterfront view require reservations. Service was excellent, and our waitress, Inja, had fantastic taste and palate for pairing wines with entrees and for dessert wines.
We started with tartare. This was truthfully decent compared to tartares that I have had, but it is tartare nonetheless (and certainly better than what you can find in the States). The beef cheeks were heavy but balanced with the carrots that were firm and sweet and cauliflower. It’s a really thoughtful dish.
Unpictured, but my partner had the lamb shank. That was good, and much leaner than the lamb you find in the US, which is consistent with the lamb I have had in Europe generally. The wine pairings with this dish were superb. I also had a negroni to start, which was great and plenty strong.
Great service, our waiter knew the size and ingredients, so we could order good plates.
Beef tartar and gnocchi were perfect, porcini cappuccino was very good too.
We tried local dishes and prawns, both options very tasty and in generous portions!
Apparently you aren’t allowed to smoke outside, but that didn’t bother me!
Very nice atmosphere, and design, although there was a bit noisy. Could hear a busy kitchen and behind the couter hustle. But the service and food can compensate for any slightest discomfort.
The service was exellent, careful and professional.
We orderd fish, seabass and river trout. The dishes were fine looking and combination of ingredients and garnish just prefect. The fish was fresh and soft, nicely fried, with much taste.
The slovenian orange wine accompanied nicely with the dishes.
They charge you for the service, 2,5 per person. But water, bread with olive and amuse-bouche comes at no extra charge.
We were very satisfied with whole experience!
