Had dinner here the first night for a 4 night stay at the Anguilla Great House (restaurant on property), simply for convenience after a late check in. Won’t eat here again. “Fresh” swordfish wasn’t fresh, and the pork chop had a sauce that tasted like it was from a jar – and cold, so ended up scraping it off. Wine was expensive and a weak pour. Worst of all was the service, where both the hostess & waitress acted like we were bothering them. Never once followed up on the food, asked if we wanted another drink, dessert, etc. Gratuities are automatically added here, so this crew apparently felt like they didn’t need to be pleasant. The table next to us had a different waitress who was pleasant to that table, so maybe it’s luck of the draw. Note, this is not to be confused with the Coconuts Beach Bar next door, which we had great service by Diana for lunch that same day. I noticed Diana was mentioned in another review, so not sure if it’s the same management, and we just got stuck with horrible service and poor cooking. Regardless, too many other options (try Savi Beach Club nearby – outstanding service tonight, but slightly more expensive), so won’t try Old Caribe again. Only redeeming factor was listening to the waves at Rendezvous Beach.

My wife and I had breakfast and dinner at this restaurant and everything was delicious.
I had a farmers omelet with side of fruits for breakfast.
My wife had French toast with bacon and side if fruit for breakfast.
We both have the BBQ ribs for dinner and they were THE RIBS!!
Service is a little slow, but you’re here to relax so it helps you get into the great vibe this place have.

Friendly service, with great food! My family and I were spending some time at the nearby beach so we decided to hope in for dinner.
We had the shrimp, mahi mahi and lobster. I have the lobster so I took a pic. THE LOBSTER IS HUUUUGEEEEEE!!! The lobster cost was $45 usd and for its price it’s a STEAL. The lobster is by far worth the extra amount you pay.
My only problem was that if you go at night you will be attacked by mosquitoes. There wasn’t any buzzer or net to help with the bugs, but I don’t blame the restaurant for that.
Otherwise fantastic place with very friendly staff.

We had a group of 8 completely different appetites and the food, service and selection was amazing along with terrific staff!!! Must stop if you come through Rendezvous Bay!!!

Food has great taste, they take their time, but it is totally worth it, I ordered lobster pasta and snapper fillet and both had excellent taste. Even the lemonade was way far above average. Only 15% service charged, the usual anywhere in the island,

We are staying at Anguilla Great House and love the breakfast here- best oatmeal ever! But I want to talk about dinner. This is a very simple place compared to many island restaurants. Island food is mostly delicious everywhere and expensive.
Old Caribe is calm, relaxed and reasonable. The menu is good and staff is so nice and aims to please in every way.
My husband’s ribeye was cooked perfectly and soo tasty. My fettuccine with shrimp in a light cream sauce was yummy. Not on the menu but he made it for me as I requested!
Great bottle of rose reasonably priced.
When we’re tuckered out and don’t want to venture out we know we can find our happy a few steps away at Old Caribe.
