I stopped here upon returning from a trip to Nigeria be cause I wasn’t ready to stop eating great down-home food. I was blown away! The porridge tasted just like it was supposed to, the jollof was even better, and they had goat meat! Service was pleasant and welcoming. The portions are generous too. The setting is relaxing with great music, and some food TV. Everything about this place makes me want to come back over and over, and I will. I highly recommend this place as the standard for Nigerian restaurants in the US. They get all the stars from me.

I walked into this quaint cafe and immediately liked it. It is very nicely decorated. I walked over to the buffet area and looked at all the food. It looked so yummy. The gentleman that helped me was very nice and informative about all the food. He let me sample what I could eat, as I have some food allergies. He even got me to try tripe. Lol It had a very good flavor but I wasn’t sure on the texture. Lol I’m very glad I tried it though. I got some flavored rice with plantains, and some goat meat. I enjoyed all of it. Actually I have rice left over for tomorrows lunch. I also got two different drinks. A apple one and another one that had different herbs in it. I loved both of them, especially the apple drink. Thank you for being so kind to me………. I will be back with my family.

I’m no expert in African food and what flavors to expect but the food here was pretty good. Especially enjoyed the Jollof Rice. I had 2 meat pies as well, they were fine but not as good as the rice. Staff was very friendly. Would recommend.

I was really excited to try this place considering I get tired of the same ole same old restaurant options in the area. So I ordered a few things for take out thinking I could eat some tonight and something else for lunch tomorrow. I ordered the goat pepper soup, the jollof rice and the fried rice b/c I like rice. Unfortunately, I will not be having anything to eat tomorrow for lunch and must admit, I’ve very disappointed and here’s why… it doesn’t matter what type of rice dish you’re making, if the rice is not cooked properly, the dish is ruined. The jollof rice seem to have some pretty decent flavor but I just couldn’t get over the al dente rice. And I say al dente considerably b/c some of that rice was just out right crunchy. Absolutely ruined what could have been a decent bowl of rice and chicken. Now the fried rice? Forget about it. It’s not worth ordering in my opinion b/c again, improperly cooked rice and hardly any flavor at all. I did manage to find two lil shrimps in the bowl but I didn’t eat them because rice probably sucked all of the moisture out of the shrimp. After trying several spoonfuls, I came to the conclusion that they must be using some kind of parboiled rice or instant rice or something. There was absolutely no fluff to this rice at all. Now to the soup… the goat pepper soup. Again, the soup broth was absolutely phenomenal. I’d love to just order cups of broth with no goat b/c I hate to say it but I’m currently picking my teeth right now of goat meat b/c it was simply too tough. The meat was not tender at all and that’s what I’ve come to love about properly cooked goat… the flavor or course and the tenderness. I really wanted to give this place more start and I’m being nice with the 3. The plantains were better than a lot of places I had been and the chicken legs in the rice were pretty good. I will come back and try some other dishes with out rice but this is it for now.
