The food was so good, I forgot to photograph 3 dishes including the wagu beef finale. Cocktails are refreshing and on point. Jackson is a true mixologist.
The food follows a more traditional and authentic Japanese approach, clean, delicate preparations that highlight the natural flavors of each ingredient, especially the fish. The presentation is minimalistic and very refined. This is not the typical American-style Japanese food with heavy sauces or intense flavors, everything here is lighter, more subtle, and intentionally served just as the chef prepares it.
It’s a different kind of dining experience, ideal for those who appreciate a more faithful expression of Japanese cuisine. I enjoyed it and would like to return to explore more of their menu and enjoy the beautiful ambiance again.
Had dinner during the soft open (first day) and it was good even though they are currently on a limited menu. The atmosphere is fantastic and I’m excited to return once they get fully up and running. So glad to have an upscale Japanese restaurant in the area!
The owners, Kimmie and Alex, have an incredible vision and attention to detail that few could match. We feel honored and privileged to be part of their community.
If you want to celebrate a birthday or any special occasion, they will arrange everything and make sure you have the best experience.
They host special events, including live music on December 10th and 17th from 6–9 PM—and even more musical nights planned for next year.
For first-time visitors—the design will take your breath away.
For professionals—it sparks inspiration.
For everyone—it’s an unforgettable experience created with heart.
Absolutely one of my top places to visit
The service was ok and I appreciate the effort. They try to make people feel taking care and served well.
The disappointment was the food.
We knew it would not be cheap. Checking on Google before going it was clear that is was a +100 restaurant and the menu is available on line.
The problem is that the food doesn’t meet the expectations and it is overpriced.
The Soto hotate were very good and also tofu.
The eggplant was almost impossible to eat with chopsticks. I will raccomend you to order it just to have a laugh at the table as see non conventional ways people will find to get to eat it!
The fish of the nigiri was amazing and if we go back I am going to order only nigiri !
The most disappointing was the sushi.
Presentation of the plate beautiful, but the rolls were warm…
The rice is soft and dampened in soia. That is way the color is so dark. The waiter explained this to us, that they cure the rice to make it flavory and soya taste. “This way you don’t have to damp the roll into soia sauce, but just eat it.”
And I can see this can be an idea.
I love to try new things
In this case I prefer the normal cold white rice and use the soy sauce on the little plate. Is part of the sushi experience that I will not change, now that I have tried this different method.
The thing most disappointing was that the rice being warm was cooking the fish on top. You con see in the last picture…
The hot tea was very good.
It is a new restaurant and I am sure they will do better in the future.
Ps. As other people are saying the still water is $10 a bottle and they don’t ask you if you want tab or bottle. Coming from Europe this is normal for us. There is not the option of the free tab water at restaurants, so this thing didn’t bother me.
We ordered two entrées, the salmon teriyaki, and the steak teriyaki. Both were served with steamed vegetables. There was little to no teriyaki sauce on either plate plates, the vegetables had literally no seasoning whatsoever. I actually asked for soy sauce to add some level of flavoring to the dishes.
The only things that were semi good were the three rolls of sushi we ordered. We got the king salmon avocado, the nami heat, and the kari kari shrimp. They were slightly above average in terms of sushi rolls.
The atmosphere is really cool, and you can tell there was a lot of intentionality in the decoration, which made the atmosphere really enjoyable. But the food and the drinks were about as mid as I’ve experienced in a very long time. I’m hopeful since this place just opened things will turn around and it will get better.
