This was my first time at this restaurant. I’d give the food 5 stars; every dish we ordered was delicious, and the place was clean. As for the staff, I won’t say much, but let’s just say that the service is inconsistent—it really depends on which staff member you get. If you choose to work in service, you need to be patient. I still recommend coming here, though, because the food is excellent.

Wonderful atmosphere. Booked ahead for valentine’s day. Ordered the rainbow sushi platter, mixed tempura, seaweed salad and two bubble teas (buy one get one free promo). Came in under £46. Servers were all great, friendly and polite. Great service. Lots of deliveries being collected as we dined, looks to be very popular as people had to be turned away… My partner was smug about our advanced booking

Well I never, a Japanese restaurant in Bathgate. Best salt& chilli squid that I have ever tasted, and inexpensive. Both the ramen and rice dishes were superb. We were well looked after by Brook & Staff. PS worth the wee trip out of Edinburgh. Oh and a wee update on our last visit. Helpful Brook suggested we try the Sesame Chicken Wings, wow get out of here, fabulous. Thanks again Okome in Bathgate. When recommending to my daughter who lives in The Borders, she told me that she goes to an Okome in Galashiels. Who knew?

We have ordered from here several times but this time it was a disappointment. The presentation was very poor and lacklustre, nothing like the pictures would suggest. Tas alright but not appetising. Perhaps it was because its takeaway, but in the past it wasn’t like that and I paid the same amount of money, so I would expect the same quality! We have spent over £40 on our order and it wasn’t worth it.

We have had take-away and have dined in here several times and the food is consistently good. Their homemade kimchi is the best I’ve tasted and it’s vegan so can cater to lots of people. Plenty of veggie dishes and varieties. The kimchi cheesy chips are amazing. This is now our go-to place for take-aways.

I dined here for lunch with my better half. It wasn’t my first time in this little place as I had visited before with a few friends before. I was so impressed that I had to take my other half when there was a chance to see if she would love it as much as i did. The food is always incredible, the service is good but it’s a small business operating a phone system as well as a front of house. The food here is just on another level, their mission statement is accurate. “Delicious and healthy “… every single dish is prepared with thought, dished with pride and are just incredible on the palette. This isn’t a place to walk on by, this is a place that deserves to stand out and be counted. I look forward to being back again and it was a top tier winner with my partner.

Attended last night as a group of 13 people. Was not disapointed. Staff were great and very accomadating, food was out of this world. Had members of the group who hadnt eaten food like this before and they were over the moon.

Incredible food, fantastic prices, wonderful staff, fabulous atmosphere. I’m running out of adjectives to describe the unbelievable experience of eating in West Lothians finest Japanese restaurant, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Our family love it. Happy second birthday Okome!❤️

Place is very clean, menus need to be more informative, as I’m a simple guy, i need some pictures of the dishes on offer. Ordering food felt like a bit of a gamble which I’m not keen on. Fortunately food was delicious, portions are large. Waitress was lovely and polite.
