Korean bowl spot opened its second location in Baton Rouge
Reviews
the inside is a bit small, but that’s out of their control as it’s located in a small unit within a parking garage. you can eat inside if you’d like, but i often take my food to a more scenic spot in downtown.
This place is super cute and I agree it’s like a Korean Chipotle or Cava. You build your own bowl so you can’t go wrong. For protein options you can go with stir-fried shrimp, grilled chicken, or Korean Fried chicken. They also have Korean braised beef. And if you’re vegetarian, go with their fried tofu!
For my base, I typically do a half and half. Japchae (sweet potato noodles) and garlic fried rice (sometimes I get the salad mix to make myself feel less guilty). Gotta get the marinated egg because the yolk is perfection every time. You get four veggies; I always go with pickled daikon (for that crunch), pickled onions, kimchi slaw, and roasted corn. Then come the toppings which I usually go with all of them because I have no self control.
Then choose your sauce. You can’t go wrong with any of the sauces so I try to rotate sauces each time I go; You can also ask for your sauce on the side which I tend to do.
Their portion sizes are huge which means you get a great bang for your buck AND you get to enjoy Okki Tokki a second time later on at home (which is also why I get sauce on the side). Overall, highly recommend trying this place out. I hope they open more locations soon and it’d be even better if it became a nationwide chain honestly.
This place is phenomenal. The food was outrageous. The taste was superb I honestly dont have the words to describe how good this place is. So you walk in and the decor is pretty cool very asian fusion anime inspired. The way it works is you pick your protein. Idk if the menu changes but they had braised beef ( ) shrimp or chicken. I got the braised beef but the shrimp and chicken looked great. You pick if you want rice or sweet potatoe noodles the noodles looked wild cause they are see through but we’re incredible. Then the veggies, I tried the kimchi slaw not my favorite just wasn’t for me. The sauce is what really brought oit the dish I had the soul sistas and the Ot. Which the young lady recommended and she did not disappoint. I cant recommend this place enough. It’s nestled in down blink and you can miss no real signage or anything that really catches the eye except for a sandwich board sign outside. The seating is very lifted maybe about 4 tables so get there fast and enjoy. I paid 20.69 I believe because I got a water a and topo Chico with mint and lime ufffffff!!
Delicious build your own Korean bowl, fully customizable and amazing. The sauces are unreal (try to OT sauce)
I added a marinated egg for extra protein and it did not disappoint!
