I get Okinawa for take out all the time and have eaten in at the restaurant as well. I have never been disappointed with my meal. The staff is so friendly and nice, the food is delicious, and very filling. You get a lot of food for your $. Both the hibachi and sushi are great options. You will not leave hungry! Everything is amazing!

Delicious hibachi meal!! Will be coming back!! The waitress went above and beyond in welcoming my family. We are new to the neighborhood and out of the kindness of her heart she offered recommendations of the best schools in town and places to visit. Took time out of a very busy service to speak to us – it was definitely full-house packed that Friday!! One of the managers also saw us off; what a kind gesture! Coming back not only for the food but for the friendly, neighborly service!! Thank you!!

No complaints, I love Okinawa! Definitely a hidden gem. The Tiffany roll and the hibachi shrimp fried rice are my favorite menu items. The restaurant is clean, food is always made fresh, parking is available, indoor and outdoor dining are also available, and there’s a generous amount of seating. Note: if you’re looking for a hibachi restaurant where the food is prepared in front of you, that is not a service they offer.

Was in Birmingham for the NABJ convention. We got there an hour before they closed. While they kind of did rush us along, the food was well prepared and the service was on point. No real atmosphere or vibe, just good food.
