OKINAWA SUSHI SO YUMMY #alohapik2#pik2project #pik2hits #pik2
Reviews
1. Jumbo salmon roll (my fave! The salmon slices r just soooo big&thick! Yummy as usual… The only downside is it’s our 2nd time coming here and they have no avocado, when for us the combo taste between salmon&avocado is what makes it super delicious)
2. Cold salmon noodle (this new menu is good, but actually it’s just salmon sashimi shaped like noodles in soya & ices)
3. Truffle sapporo roll (tuna&salmon slices r generous and fresh, no weird taste whatsoever… however the truffle sauce is too strong, so there’s that…)
4. Salmon carpaccio (we always like theirs, sour & tangy sauce, yummmm!)
5. Some usual menus (wagyu volcano bomb, salmon volcano bomb & unagi nigiri, they all taste good)
Anyway, for the 2 of us cost around 600K… u only need to follow some accounts on IG & post a story to get that promo… so overall it was a good deal…
Look at the salmon, so fresh and thick cut!
They have 2 area: indoor & outdoor. This restaurant is not very crowded so it is suitable for those who want to have a rest in the very crowded Aloha.
Now about the services:
I don’t know if this is a new branch or not, but the service was very inconsistent!
Came for an early dinner with the family for my mom’s birthday with a total of 8 people.
Early services were good, we were served by a waiter in black outfit. Offered to sit indoor or outdoor & he prepared exactly the way we wanted: 1 table indoor & 1 table outdoor (which later we switched to 2 outdoors).
The poor services came when we were served by another waiter with not-so-good attitude, not sincere & he even chewed something when talking with us! Always rushing to go from the table to go back in the restaurant.
Also I think the management must consider about special treatment when a customer is having their birthday. It doesn’t have to be something expensive or hassle to prepare, just a small piece of cake or sushi would be a very good gesture, like they do in other sushi restaurants.
Remember: this is a family restaurant & many of your customers come to celebrate there.
We asked if they serve something for birthday & answered “no, we don’t.” directly without even checking with the Store Manager. When I asked again, he said “I will check” but never got back.
My wife finally asked to prepare a pudding served on a plate with a birthday greeting words (AND OF COURSE WE PAID FOR IT). And guess what? They wrote the words using mayonnaise! Can you imagine serving a Hokkaido Milk Pudding with mayo???!! Even the words were wrong, when they actually had written the requested words down.
We had no complaints regarding the food, even though the Salmon Head actually burnt but we didn’t express it to the cook. We were too surprised by the poor services.
This is really the worst Okinawa Sushi we’ve ever been & most probably will never come back again.
Salmon belly maki roll was great. Tofu hot pot dish was superb.
Softshell crab had too much batter and grease.
All other dishes were good.
Much better Japanese than most places in Jakarta.
Highly recommended
