Been going there for over 20 years now. Saw the decline and now here for the revival. The remodel does wonders for the atmosphere. Clean, bright, alive, all new hibachi grills and with the glass windows now able to see the outside world it opens the restaurant up making a complete change. The food was fantastic, chef was interactive and accommodating to our needs and service was top notch. Will continue to dine there and recommend others to do so.

After a number of years we visited Oki’s on Saturday evening. Hopefully the management team reads this review, it’s time they address what is a concern mentioned more than once in this selection of reviews. I am not quite sure how business is doing but the once congested bar was empty, not another soul in the place, first indication something was wrong. The walls are badly need of a paint job, the lower six inches of the wall are black with dirt and grease. The once shinny face of the bar was now in need of refinishing, time for a makeover. On the food side, the chef was entertaining. The food was OK, nothing new or over the top. With the number of new steak houses cropping up in the area, I was disappointed with the lack of pizazz at what in my opinion was one of the better steak houses I’ve visited in the country.

My only complaint is that the some of the chefs have a better more playful personality than some of the other ones. We went last Friday for the 4th time and we had a chef that literally just cooked. However the eel and avocado roll we had made up for it! He could have dance naked on the table and I wouldn’t have noticed with those on my plate!

We didn’t sit at a habachi table. The food was horrible. I sent my fried rice back because it tasted rancid. Everything was served either luke warm or cold. It seemed like an eternity before our food came out. It was like torture, the food came out one plate at a time in ten minute intervals. None of us had food at the same time until the very end.
I think they’re really in business to sell booze. It looks like that’s what they’re set up for as the bar is HUGE and there’s a large waiting area around it.
This was a TERRIBLE experience. Honestly, I’ve eaten better at McDonalds. At $23 per plate I this is robbery. I will NEVER, EVER GO BACK TO THIS HORRIBLE RESTAURANT.

I have been going to Oki’s for years and was,so excited when they re-opened. When it comes to food, no other Hibachi restaurant comes close, but when my friends and I want the Hibachi experience, we do want the chefs to engage with us a little more.Sometimes the atmosphere at Oki’s is a little to quiet. I remember the entertainment from the chefs being alot more lively Back in the day. But let me remind everyone that the food is,excellent and customer service is excellent, I just want to have a little more fun. If i wanted a quiet dinner I would sit at sushi, the bat, or order take out.

I found the staff were quite lovely but the food, although being cooked to perfection, was a bit salty.
