Oka Sushi is a fantastic place to get sushi. The rolls taste fresh, there is a nice variety of speciality rolls and regular rolls, and plenty of other menu options as well. The location is right on the avenue so there is parking around the restaurant and is a nice place to walk around afterwards.

Wow! I am thoroughly impressed with this restaurant. We were driving home to Gilbert from Payson and decided to make a pit stop for lunch in Fountain Hills. Sushi sounded like the perfect cuisine after a day of strenuous hiking.
First off, this place is absolutely gorgeous. Painted cement floors, large comfy booths, not to mention the beautiful artificial Bonsai tree in the center of the restaurant. Like another reviewer said, I’m not much on fake plants, but this was a nice touch and not too tacky.
The service was pretty good, our server Emily checked in on us quite a bit. However, the best part of the experience was the food. I started with the Baked Scallop Dynamite Roll, which was phenomenal. My Dad loved his Lunch Fried Rice with Chicken as well.
Surprisingly, the Miso Soup and House Salad we had on the side was delicious as well. Especially that salad, the dressing was to die for. Enough said, we’ll be back to Oka for sure.

Updated Review: Used to frequent this location when we lived in FH. However, this place now is lackluster at this point.. ingredients weren’t fresh and the vibes were questionable. The manager who seemed to be running the shift infectiously brought the team down. From the moment we walked in, we almost walked out. Especially when that manager just stood at the front of house, no enthusiasm, just dreary. Looked right at us, chose not to greet us, and turned his back to return to the kitchen. Then proceeds to not round the tables and make sure the patrons were OK when the place was bustling. Just a sloppy individual who quite frankly, had weird vibes that seemed to bring the overall team down. His attitude alone made us question just turning our backs to walk out as quickly as he did to us. However, after driving from North Phoenix and knowing how good this place used to be, we gave it a shot. Nonetheless, two waiters did their best to serve a very busy dining room with no support from management.. food was subpar.. umm, yea, thanks but no thanks. We won’t be back.

My family and I went to dinner here. It was my first time dining here. I am not a huge fan of sushi but was thankful that they had fried rice and chicken teriyaki that I could eat. It was very delicious and I even took some home to have again the next night. I would definitely visit this location again. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Not organized, staff standing around and chatting, changed hours for their convenience not the patron. The food is good depending upon what you order. The wonton ahi is served in the most unappealing way- totally overdressed! Manager / Management appear to lack foresight and customer service skills. Disappointing.

All of my orders here are called in and picked up. I will tip on every few orders, but expecting tips on a pickup order is a bit ridiculous. On the times that I don’t tip, whoever is working the register will give me the dirtiest look. This has happened with several of the employees. Last night on my order I tipped, and then got home to notice the edamame was put in upside down and leaked all over everything in the bag. No chop sticks. No ginger/wasabi. It seems like there is no care when it comes to your employees handling pickup orders. I’m definitely not blind tipping anymore after last nights order.
