Delicious! And great service. It starts on a positive with free parking. The inside, while not huge, is clean, spacious, and casually comfortable. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. I started with spicy pork tacos and donkatsu tacos; both were delicious but I found the spicy pork to be my favorite. My wife had the OISO kimbap, which she enjoyed, along with fishcake skewers. My son had the rose tteok bokki, which was very good.

The best Korean food I’ve had outside of Korea. 20/10 recommend. If you haven’t been, you need to go!! The owner is so friendly and always gives such great recommendations. We keep coming back cause we just can’t get enough!

I experienced this place today with my 2 daughters and we all had an amazing experience! The owner was amazingly sweet, food was huge portions that were so delicious. We ordered 3 dishes and enjoyed each one – we will definitely come back as the service outstanding and the food yummy!!! The owner even refilled our kimchi and helped box our remaining leftovers – such a kind and polite person!

The owners are very welcoming and heartwarming. Upon my first visit, the owner took his time explaining the entire menu to me and what tastes the best. The bulgogi in every dish tastes amazing (no exaggeration). Very fresh ingredients used. My wife and I tried the Bulgogi cup-bap, the regular ddeok-bokki, and the bulgogi kimbap. Extra highlight, it feels as though you’re inside a K-drama when you dine-in.

Food quality/taste, I’m going to give it 5 stars. The tteok-bokki is actually spicy and not sweet, kimbap has really good quality/fresh ingredients, and donkatsu was right thickness.

If I had to nitpick, the kimbap really should have been rolled tighter and rice bit more flavored? It was pretty cold inside (outside was mid 50’s), wear something warm.

I felt like I was at home and the food was very fresh and delicious. The soup was full of flavor and warmed me up from the winter chill.

The bulgogi and kimchi tacos were very hearty with a warm smokey flavor. Sliced cabbage covered in a sweet and spicy mayo and gochujang sauce was a brilliant addition to the meaty bulgogi.

My baby was also welcomed with a fancy highchair with his own table connected to it.

Lovely owner! And staff I love to come here when I have the time and prices aren’t too pricey either for how much food you receive, I came in with a big group with an hour and 30 mins before close everyone was friendly and even the owner him self gave us a small freebie of dumplings for our table due to how much we ordered. Wonderful staff and food! 10/10

I was intrigued from the start by the cheerful character on the OiSO sign that lends a pop of color to the unassuming corner shop location of this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised at how bright and airy the interior felt, with a simplistic modern flare. Everything was well lit and easy to navigate, from the menu board to the array of drinks in the wall cooler. The young woman at the cashier was pleasant and helpful, while one of the chefs (head chef??) stepped out to greet me and then checked on how I was enjoying my food later as well.
My only caveat about the interior is that you had better love K-Pop and be ready to sacrifice having much conversation because it’s a little too much to talk over, for me anyway. (I do love K-Pop but wouldn’t have minded it a tad lower). The big screen with the music videos was a fun touch as well.
I arrived around 2PM on a Wednesday and my food came out fast and was very fresh. I heard them pounding the pork for the mozzarella donkatsu in the back when I arrived. I really enjoyed the finely sliced/shredded coleslaw which was an enjoyable side to the donkatsu. As noted in another review, the mozzarella was plentiful and yet did not overwhelm the pork. It was the perfect balance of crunchy and gooey. The sauce which seemed to be BBQ based, was light in flavor and perfect for dipping.
The tteok bokki was just right, not too hot not too sweet. The fishcakes were not too fishy either. I enjoyed the little side dish of house made kimchi and some pickled radish slices as I ate through my meal. I was a little confused by the small bowl of very weak room temperature broth brought with the tteok bokki. I should have asked if it was supposed to be heated up, (which would have made it a little better to cleanse my palatte with IMO.) Overall, very happy with the quality of everything from start to finish and cannot gripe too hard on the broth, but a better version of that element would have made it perfect. Will be back again with friends for sure.

*** Update: I have been back multiple times and I enjoy it thoroughly every time, as do my friends. They did lower the volume of the music a bit which was so nice. Chef William is always friendly and inviting, just as the name of the restaurant indicates. And I always enjoy my exchanges with Engara (sorry if I spelled that wrong!). OiSO continues to be a pleasant and charming food experience for me and I will happily frequent the establishment as often as I am able.

I stumbled upon Oiso by complete accident but I am so glad I did. Chef William is offering world-class food with excellent service!

My wife and I order the Bulgogi Cup Bop, Spicy Pork Kimbop, and the Mozzarella Donkatsu. The mozzarella was so fresh. I was so surprised to hear that all the food is made in house! You can taste how fresh all the food is and feel the love that is put into each dish. Eating the food and speaking to the staff gave us an at-home feeling. The atmosphere made it such a pleasant place. We are so thankful for this experience.

On a side note, I really appreciate how clean the restroom was. It smelled fresh and was so nice inside. It really speaks to the owner’s attention to detail in everything. 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
