The baby back ribs were tender and juicy — the meat literally fell off the bone, and the smoky flavor was amazing. The brisket was also really good, super soft and full of flavor.
The place feels casual and relaxed, great for a weekend lunch or dinner with friends. Prices are a bit high for BBQ, but the quality makes up for it.
Service was friendly, and food came out faster than I expected.
Overall, a great spot if you’re craving solid smoked BBQ in Fort Lee. I’ll definitely be back!
Ourside they have several tables while the inside is separated by a bar and dining area. Upon entering we were immediately greeted with warm smiles. The decor was mostly wood with signs displaying different pieces of a cow or pig along with their favorite dishes.
The table had made to order chips and guacamole. The guacamole was flavorful without being overwhelming. My wife and friends ordered a few drinks saying they were fantastically made. The drinks were not watered down at all.
As for food I ordered the oiso sampler and seafood broil. This was two large trays, one full of various meats and sides while the other had the bag of seafood. The first tray had a great selection of candied bacon, pulled pork, brisket, ribs, a chicken leg, cornbread, coleslaw, and baked beans. The meat for the ribs fell right off the bone and was flavorful. The candied bacon had a sweet yet hot taste to it.
The seafood broil had clams, shrimp, crab legs, corn, rice, and potatoes. The shrimp were large and juicy with the shells on. The corn absorbed some of the juices making it pop with each bite.
Biggest thing is our server (apologize i forget your name) was absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in he greeted us with a smile and helped us get situated. He accommodated our larger party as we all came in with no mistakes. They even let us bring a cake in to which they played happy birthday over the speakers.
Overall amazing experience with great tasting food. I highly recommend this location if you can make it.
What we ordered:
Beef Brisket Bowl
OISO Platter– beef rib, brisket, pulled pork, spicy bacon, baby back ribs, kielbasa sausage, and chicken leg
A la carte Cajun seafood boil– snow crab & shrimp
Side of Cajun fries
Side of Mac and Cheese
The sides were definitely necessary for the amount of meat we were eating! Will definitely be back!
I ordered pulled pork along with beans and fries (all sides are a la cart). Pork was good. I was skeptical of the beans but they were good too. The fries were a large pile of very large fries that were extra crispy on the outside but some in the middle.
Service was friendly but not super attentive and the place only had 2 tables occupied.
