The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavourful, and clearly made with great-quality ingredients. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the prices were very reasonable for the standard of food you get. There’s also a big selection of dishes, which makes it easy to find something you’ll love.
The staff were wonderful: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which really enhanced the whole experience. I also appreciated the traditional music, which added to the warm, relaxed atmosphere and made it an even nicer place to enjoy a meal.
Overall, Oishii is a fantastic spot for anyone who loves quality Japanese food. Highly recommended!

Have walked past this place many times and finally decided to have dinner there. Booked over the phone the day before (Thursday for a Friday reservation). When we arrived on Friday it was pretty packed and they were turning people away that hadn’t booked so I would recommend booking ahead. Food was good, Japanese isn’t my area of expertise so we ordered a few different things. Pictured is the sashimi £ ngiri boat, tempura veg & fish plus udon noodles with chicken. All very nice. Staff friendly and it’s a cosy atmosphere as it’s quite a small venue. Only downside was the rose wine wasnt cold, which my wife wasn’t happy about, but other than that all good and I would definitely go again.

Food was tasty and our favourites were the scallop sashimi and spider roll. Only thing I would say is service was slow at times and we were waiting around for a dessert menu and to get the bill. We will be back to try other items on the menu.

We came for a family lunch on a Saturday and we had a lovely meal. Service was great and we were not rushed at all. The staff were friendly and attentive and were great with kids. Everything we ordered was delicious and highlights were the Seared Salmon Sashimi, Scallop Asparagus Kariyaki and the Prawn Yaki Soba. We will definitely be visiting again.

I’ve had issues a few times with their deliveries, either wrong or really late! I would advise not to order take out here, its either wrong or you get a soup with a 100ml of it as pictured. Its a joke and not worth the money or long wait time at all!
UPDATE: They asked me to take down this review for a refund with no apology stating the soup was the normal amount given for a takeaway…. I’d rather leave the review till they actually change that stupidity, who runs a business like this Miso Soup is so cheap!! It’s 99% hot water and 10p of paste for a £5 Soup!! Badly run place, lots of other great places to eat in Hertford, go to them.

I have eaten so much sushi in my life & in different parts of the world. This is EXCEPTIONAL!!! Immaculately prepared with beautiful presentation. Tastes fresh, original & delicious. I would especially recommend the spicy tuna avocado roll & spicy salmon avocado roll.
A lovely selection of crunchy pickles which really enhanced the flavours of the meal.
Their tofu katsu curry was really wonderful. A warming filling dish. The tofu is delicately prepared with lovely rice & very tasty curry sauce!
I love spinach & the spinach goma (with sesame & miso) was the best spinach I’ve ever eaten.
The prices were good for the quality of food.

We visited Oishii today for the first time based off my partner’s friend’s recommendation and we really enjoyed our meal there! Staff were lovely and friendly and the atmosphere was great – highly recommend and would 100% revisit!
