We were excited to try Oishii for the first time, and it delivered! The spicy Chashu Tonkotsu Ramen, Beef Donburi, and Dan Dan Mein dishes were very good. The service was fast and the servers were quick to recommend their favorites. Great place to get your ramen fix in the south metro!

Oishii is one of, if not our favorite place to get ramen and donburi. My favorite is either the spicy chashu ramen or chashu shoyu ramen. Their fried chicken buns are pretty great as well. The staff and service is spectacular. I’d recommend this place to anyone, but especially if you’re looking for some delicious Japanese comfort food.

Went here on a whim. Excellent service and great recommendations from the staff. Meal was large portion but delicious and very reasonably priced. Atmosphere and decor is fantastic. Will be coming again.

I got food poisoning here. Well, I think my sign was when the waiter in flip flops, a tank & shorts exclaimed that I was ordering a pork dish and double made sure I was okay with the scrambled pork. I was like..yes i’m sure. Ah, well I wasn’t so sure once I got home. So, minus 1000000- points for that.

Ramen for my husband was alright, he said it was just okay. Eggs were good. The takoyaki was good. But damn, the pork donburi is a caution and a half. Nope.

Excellent japanese cuisine restaurant. Not a lot of donburi places in the southern metro area. There’s a handful of ramen places and sushi places, but donburi is certainly a rare treat.

Upon entrance, I was greeted and seated. The atmosphere is quite cozy, with the restaurant being located in a strip mall so not the biggest, but it certainly makes do with its small space. There’s great decor and the walls are painted with reference to the Japanese culture. It’s very pleasant.

The food itself is also great, the plating is very elegant and tastes wonderful. Although I do want to mention that donburi does tend to taste the same (it’s a harder dish to mess up) in most places that offer it, so I will have to be back to try out more complex dishes like the ramen and give my thoughts on that. But, no complains with my beef donburi bowl for my first time. It was lovely.

The mochi ice cream they offer is a wonderful dessert. Not every place does their mochi ice cream right and I’m happy to say this place nails it. The mochi outer shell is wonderfully gooey and sweet and melts perfectly with the ice cream filling inside. Always a treat to have some mochi ice cream, even more so when it’s well done.

All in all, I will definitely be back to try out more.

This place is a gem. One of our favorite spots for ramen in the Twin Cities. Consistently good service.

I’ve gotten the Teriyaki Chashu Ramen for a few years, and it’s been excellent every single time.

Little, tiny restaurant in a strip mall, but great flavors. We came about 8pm and the service was polite and friendly. Food was served fairly quickly. They didn’t rush us as it came closer to closing time either. Several different ramen combos available and you can have it spicy if you like.

FOOD POISONING TWICE!!!
Over a year ago I tried Oishii for the first time, don’t get me wrong, the food was delicious, but 15 minutes after eating I developed severe vomiting and diarrhea that lasted over a week. I ended up going to the ER twice for IV fluids. I did many tests and found that I had Norovirus AND E-coli.
Just tonight my brother ordered Oishii for the first time and ordered the Honey Chicken Donburi, a few hours later he also developed vomiting and diarrhea.
This place is a FOOD POISON RISK. NOT WORTH THE RISK!!

We first tried the ramen back when orders were to go only during covid. We enjoyed them then and we still do. If you like the typical ramen order the miso base. That is what I prefer, however, I also enjoy their shoyu ramen. The chashu pork had a bit more flub to it then I like but many people do also like it that way. My husband quite enjoyed the Don Don Mei.

We had the edamame, cream cheese wontons, pork bun, chicken bun, and spicy ramen.
All items are very fairly priced and were all fresh and delicious. Service was attentive and friendly.
The mayo used on the buns is a mistake, in my opinion. It tasted and looked like regular mayo, but I’d say just leave the mayo off if it’s not a spicy mayo.
Also the bamboo shoots were too thick and hard to chew. Other than that, very tasty and would def eat there again!
