Such a cute hidden gem here in Forest City
We love stopping into Oishii for their Japanese street food. Everything we have tried has been fun and flavorful. We recently tried the new strawberry and Nutella taiyaki dessert and will absolutely be back just for that. It was so good!
The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can feel the warmth as soon as you walk in. The shop is also filled with fun and unique Japanese items, which makes browsing part of the experience.
We highly recommend this spot for both kids and adults. It is such a special addition to our local community.

The staff is friendly, the establishment is run by Christians who also use some of the profits to fund mission trips.

There is a little Asian shop connected to the bubble tea house.

They have more than just traditional boba; they can turn it into a milkshake also.

We built our own tenkatsu ramen bowl and it was made to order and delicious. Since it’s made to order it took a little bit but it was well worth the wait. Will be back again when travelling through.

I am giving this three out of five stars only for pricing it’s a little expensive if you were going to take your full family, it was $90 for myself, my husband and son to do Roman my baby girl had to roll the pepperoni pizza flavor and my two middle children only got Boba. I will say the food servings were adequate and everything taste delicious. We visited the store and my son bought a jacket which he really loved great place if you have kids that are into anime or Japanese culture. Would definitely be worth it if you have a small family or a date.

This place is in the old Sweet Frog building. They have an anime store with some pretty cool stuff for all ages. They also have a ramon bar, salad in a mason jar, desserts, bobba teas and more. I definitely recommend going!
My daughter and I got the miso broth and my honey got the tonkotsu broth, both are good but us and our daughter preferred the tonkotsu broth. In the pictures you will see the Ramon bowl paper where you choose what all you want in your bowl.

My son and I recently visited their new location. They have so much to offer!

I was very excited to find that they offer gluten-free and dairy-free options! It’s so hard to find local places that offer that.

The menu is unique and there are many options to choose from. My son absolutely loved his milkshake.

They have some board games and a dart board you can play with too.

The gift shop has all kinds of interesting items. Their prices are cheaper than Amazon.

All of the employees are very friendly and helpful.

Our family plans to visit as much as possible

Pretty cool place!! Haven’t been anywhere like it in an outdoor mall. The food was fantastic and came out fast, fair priced, looked and tasted delicious. I got the steak ramen bowl with mushrooms and soy beans, two taiyaki cakes that were so crispy and tasted just like the ones in Japan. The little gift shop was nice as well and I picked up some nick knacks and some snacks for myself. Staff was very friendly as well and I caught one of them gifting a toddler with a balloon, it was so sweet. Only thing I would’ve loved to see to draw in additional customers may be the Carolina Manga Library. A place to sit and read comics while you eat snacks would’ve been a PERFECT hangout spot!! Excellent locale!! I cannot wait to come back and try the Poké Bowl and Onigiri!!

New Anime themed soft serve ice cream shop in Forest City. If you are an Anime fan, this is a must go destination! Lots of Anime products in the store! Clean area and tables for enjoying your selection of sweets! I chose a Tea Float with the red bean Boba (no pearls though only because I don’t care for it) it has its own unique flavor. A little bit of a cinnamon taste is the only way to describe it. It was good!
