Went in for dinner on Thursday night & it was mostly empty. Service was friendly. Food came out quick & was excellent. We ordered the Nigiri sampler, Oishi Blvd Roll, and a Baked roll. All were super tasty & fresh.

Happy to have a solid sushi spot in the neighborhood! Will definitely be back!

What an awesome little sushi spot! Sat outside on the patio with our 6 week old newborn baby. So nice to finally have sushi! The atmosphere was so lovely and so calming. Cute how the place opens up to the outdoor patio so it feels super inviting.

Great selection of specialty rolls & hand rolls. The hand rolls were definitely our favorite (spicy tuna, spicy scallop, and spicy yellowtail). Nice spicy to each of the rolls!

Our server German was so kind and really went above and beyond with service. I feel like our whole experience was because of his kind and attentive nature with us. He constantly made sure we had everything we needed and was so sweet.

Lovely day date out with the babes for some fresh sushi and a great atmosphere!

Can’t wait to be back!

Our new favourite neighborhood sushi spot! We were very hungry, so only managed to snap one beautiful roll but we ordered a variety of rolls, recommended specials, and the tempura udon. Everything tasted authentic, delicious and fresh, including the recommended specials.

The service was top-notch, just genuinely wonderful people who were very attentive, kind and welcoming. Their patio setup has a great indoor-outdoor ambiance and is also dog-friendly, which is so hard to find. We can’t wait to come back and taste the rest of the menu!

ecently visited Oishii sushi on blvd Japanese Cuisine and had an amazing experience! Not only is the service great, but the food is also incredible. selected Monday lunch special, which featured their delicious beef bowl – and let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! The spicy flavors were on point, and the bowl was loaded with lots of veggies. The portion size was generous, and the price was unbeatable.

The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, perfect for a casual dinner or lunch. Highly recommend trying the lunch special if you’re in the area!

Blew my expectations out of the water. All the fish was fresh, the octopus wasn’t chewy, the extras on the plate (cucumber salad, seaweed salad, pickled radishes and I think beets?) were great. Love that it’s small, love that it’s open late, love that the food tasted great.

We also got a hamachi roll that tasted wonderful too. I’m usually deterred by menus with dozens of rolls on it but if they all tasted as good as the one we had last night, let em cook.

Tried this place because I live a block away. I don’t think I would come back, unfortunately. We got the seafood salad, fried gyoza, and basic salmon roll. The rice on the salmon roll was undercooked. I enjoyed how big the seafood salad was but the fish was mushy, except for the yellowtail. My boyfriend liked the fried gyoza. My main issue with this place is the dining area. They had 4 fans blasting at 7p and it was freezing. The giant TV playing the news is an odd choice. It’s bright and loud and distracting. Not an enjoyable experience, I’m really sorry to say.

We got the ceviche, crunch and spicy tuna roll – all very delicious! The spicy garlic edamame was also tasty and the server was friendly and efficient.

Such a cute vibe! The crab rangoon are the best I’ve ever had. So much flavor and crab! The rolls are huge, delicious, and so beautiful. Staff was very friendly, great service.

Things I liked:
-The sushi was good by San Diego standards. Recommend the tamago sushi as they really manage to nail the subtle sweetness in the egg. Overall the fish was good too. If I had one critique on the nigiri, it’s sliced a little thin for my liking which unfortunately results in the rice being competition rather a complement.
-The fried rice and udon was rather a generous portion and enjoyable to the taste buds. No complaints.

Things I didn’t like:
-The fried gyoza… Certainly not my favorite. The flavor was rather boring and they didn’t seem like they were actually fried well. No crispy bottom and tender top just all around overly thick and consistent. Almost like they were done in an oven. Another unfortunate bit was they were plated atop a bed of lettuce (to go order) which resulted in the bottoms being soggy. Anyhoo not my favorite but that’s okay.

Overall, not a bad place and certainly worth trying out if you’re nearby and craving Japanese food.
