Quiet on a Tuesday night, seemed like a popular take out spot. Food and service were both really good. Seaweed salad tasted fresh, and really enjoyed the Naruto roll.
I called to place a takeout order and clearly requested three different 10-piece rolls from the lunch special:
• 10-piece California roll
• 10-piece Shrimp with cucumber
• 10-piece Shrimp with avocado
When I arrived, I discovered that the server had completely misunderstood my order and prepared ten rolls of only one type: shrimp with avocado and cucumber. This was not what I ordered, and the mistake was entirely on the employee who took the call.
To make the situation worse, when I went to pay, the server attempted to charge me $172 for an order I never asked for. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, he became visibly upset and defensive, insisting that I pay for all ten rolls even though the entire order was incorrect.
What made me feel truly uncomfortable was that he stood at the doorway in an intimidating way, basically telling me I “had to pay.” I felt pressured, disrespected, and completely uncomfortable in a place where I’ve always felt welcomed.
I speak English fluently, so this was not a communication issue on my end. The way this situation was handled was unprofessional and unnecessarily aggressive.
I am requesting a refund for the incorrect order and an appropriate resolution to this incident. I genuinely hope management takes this seriously, because despite being a loyal customer, today’s experience left me extremely disappointed.
I also wanna clarify that this was for one person which is extremely crazy.
I really expect a solution or a least a discount y haven’t even eat the food if needed I can return it.
