Without exaggeration, this is the best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever had in Chesapeake. The food is incredibly fresh, the sushi chef’s sauces are always perfectly seasoned, and the staff are always very friendly. You’ll fall in love with this place after just one visit!

OISHI SUSHI is a must!! The sushi is by far the best around the area.
The restaurant is cozy, the owners and staff are always wonderful.
We have tried other sushi restaurants from recommendations and we always agree that nothing compares to Oishi Sushi in Chesapeake. Don’t forget to try the JJ Roll and Candy Cane roll that is on their Special Rolls (not in the menu).

After getting a new order with the sauce not on top. It was miles better after getting home. I thank Oishi for doing this as now i am a big fan!

I was recommended to Oishi and I ordered 2 rolls to go. I got a Philly roll and a manhattan roll. Food was ready super fast, and when I picked it up and took it home, I noticed the rolls had sucked in a ton of juice. Looks and tastes like water from the ginger. This made every piece of the rolls bad. It was so over powering. I took a pic of the left over juice so you can imagine how much soaked into each roll. Disappointed as I came in with high expectations.

I love it so much, I come here with my family all the time and our waitress even knows what my dad is getting every time – like a usual. We love her so much I think her name is Shanon and she is so sweet. 10000/10 would eat here for the rest of my life ❤️

We have been coming to Oishi now for a couple of years. Love the owners! They remember us every time we come in and my girls who are rarely with me when I come in. We love it for a quick lunch in the afternoons and a quick date night out just my husband and I. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal here. LOVE IT!

Amazing sushi, very fresh!! Spicy city roll was our favorite, and Crazy Tuna roll was yummy too. We started with edamame and steamed shumai, both steamed perfectly. Our server was great, attentive and sweet. Overall a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!
