Wonderful Japanese restaurant. The food is very authentic and affordable (also comes with daily specials which are not on the menu), the servers are friendly as well. If you love Japanese food you should definitely give this place a try.

I’d give this a solid 3.1 stars. The service was amazing. Hey let me try the sake before we ordered a big one just to make sher I liked it. I’d say this is more of a sushi place then ramen. I didn’t like my ramen so much the pork belly was just ham. And the broth was not super flavorful on top of that it was pricey witch they should add more toppings If your gonna charge that price. I do recommend trying the home made goyza that was super good! I love the atmosphere and tall cellings. But for the pice of everything I can’t say I’d recommend thos place unless you want to really try it. They do have alot of options on the menu and it is kid friendly

Amazing food! Came from out of town and was looking for some good authentic Japanese food and was worth the drive and money. So happy. Food was great!

This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in all of Michigan. It’s so hard to find good izakaya (think tapas meets bar food but make it Japanese) and not only so they serve an excellent variety of dishes but they also have some of the best and freshest sushi around! They have a good selection of non- and alcoholic drinks (we enjoyed Kirin beer and Momokawa sake) and the staff is very kind and accommodating. Connor and I are what I’d call “campers” when we go out to eat. We’re a very easy table, I’ll ask a few questions but usually am very independent about ordering, but we like to order in courses and hang out for a while. Through the whole night (even when we didn’t realize the kitchen was closing, because I hadn’t been since before the lockdowns and their closing time is different, and rushed to ask her for 3 more dishes) our server was so nice and bubbly and very knowledgeable! She could answer all my questions about their unique menu and had some great suggestions too! Overall, each time I go to Oishi I know I’m going to leave happy and with a full belly.

This is our family’s go to restaurant when we’re in the mood for Japanese. Always great food and service. I love trying the different ramen and noodle dishes, and the servers are always so helpful in explaining the dishes when I ask about them. The sushi is fantastic too. You can’t beat the ice cold Sapporo drafts.

Absolutely wonderful experience! As we walked into the restaurant we were greeted and sat without a wait. As we were led to our table the server, Young greeted us with a bow as we passed by. She ended up being our waitress. She was great! I had her select the main sushi roll.

Oishi is the best Japanese restaurant in the area, and the only place I know of that serves takoyaki or squid karaage. Everything on the menu is fantastic, but I encourage everyone to order dishes other than the sushi.

I like Oishi’s location, it’s in a small downtown square space with modern building and businesses. The staff are extremely friendly, in these covid times, they maintain distance, and wear PPE. We ordered quite a few things and the food came fast and hot. Burnt out mouths with the takoyaki. Appetizers are good, one of the best soft shelled crabs I’ve ever had. The fish cake was a nice surprise as well. I took off one star for the sushi quality, the sushi is not quite on par with the rest of the menu. The ramen were good, the appetizers were good, the sushi was okay.

My friends and I really had a lovely experience! I got a big bowl of ramen that was very tasty with cuts of pork, veggies and of course an egg. Our waitress was very attentive and kind along with the rest of the staff! I almost forgot my coat and our waitress rushed right out to give it back to me! (Oops!) Overall I had a very pleasant experience and will be back again soon!
