An Unforgettable Valentine’s Day at OH!
We spent our Valentine’s Day dinner at Oh Restaurant and Bar in West Jefferson, NC, and it was the perfect choice. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was spot on—quaint, beautifully decorated, and featuring great acoustics. It’s rare to find a place where the sound level is low enough for an easy, undistracted conversation while still feeling lively.
The Food
We opted for the preset Valentine’s menu, which offered fantastic choices for two. Every dish had amazing flavor and beautiful presentation. Our highlights included:
Starters: The corn bread kouign amann with prosciutto was a unique and delicious start.
Entrees: We chose the New York Strip with espresso demi and the Chicken Breast with Cranberry Apple Demi. Both were cooked perfectly.
Sides: The roasted potatoes with chipotle aioli and the fresh goat cheese salad were the perfect accompaniments.
Dessert: We finished with a decadent hazelnut and chocolate rye cake that was as stunning as it was tasty.
The Service
What really made the night special was our server, Andrew. He was fantastic—genuine, friendly, and incredibly attentive without ever making us feel rushed. He allowed us to truly savor the experience.

We loved our experience at the OH! We sat at the bar and were able to engage with the staff and other customers. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had the Brussels sprouts, the Pork, and Mac and Cheese. All were outstanding.

Spectacular is the word for my experience here. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The menu is unique, the food is AMAZING. Very small space inside but it is cozy and well laid out. This is not your mom and pop place, its the perfect setting for a date or meeting up with a friend. Did I mention the food already? Bursting with flavor in every bite and perfectly put together. Excellent drink selection. Everything is sourced as locally as possible. A unique restaurant where fine dining meets the street.
