The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. The manager asked about our food, which was delicious. We each had a build your own biscuit with egg, cheese, turkey sausage and an avocado. The biscuit is about the size of a saucer plate…so not small but not humongous where you would waste it or split it. The food tasted amazing…the biscuit was light and flaky, the eggs cooked perfectly. We also ordered a cinnamon roll to go which was DELICIOUS.
We will be back for sure !!
The waitress did not understand our orders correctly. I clearly asked for the Cinnabon roll as dessert, but it was brought before the main meal, which made absolutely no sense.
My boyfriend ordered two biscuits, but received two orders of bacon instead. When he explained the mistake, the waitress brought two additional biscuits, resulting in three biscuits total, which only added to the confusion.
On top of that, the coffee was charged at $7, and we were never informed whether it was a refill or not.
The most frustrating part is that the total came to $60 for a simple breakfast. For the quality of service we received, it was absolutely not worth it. We felt taken advantage of, and the experience was very disappointing.
At this point, we will only be going to Mulberry Lane Cafe, where the service is consistently much better and the experience actually matches the price.
Definitely not worth it — we will not be coming back.
The menu has a great balance of classic Southern favorites and creative twists, so there’s something for everyone. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and you leave feeling completely satisfied. The service is friendly and genuine, the kind of place where they remember your name after a few visits.
If you’re in Melbourne and looking for a delicious breakfast or brunch spot, Oh Biscuit is a must-visit. It’s the kind of local treasure that makes you want to come back again and again. I forgot to take a photo of the food because it was that good!!!!
We tried this little out of the way spot for the first time today after seeing some great reviews on a local FB page. Upon pulling up- you could tell things were different here. The handwritten menu board was precise and artfully created. The specials were varied and I spied my favorite- shrimp and grits!
The patio dining looked inviting, but we opted to sit inside and seated ourselves at a table with a wall booth. The decor was simple but beautiful. There seemed to be genuine interest in doing things well. I noticed that the tropical foliage wall paper had a wall plate on it where the pattern on the wallpaper was precisely matched to the wall plate. Nice!
The smell inside was a delightful food aroma with an under note of cleaner. I like a clean restaurant!
The lone server was also the female half of the couple that owns the restaurant- and she was a delight to talk to- but understandably brief as she was the only server for an increasingly busy place.
I ordered the shrimp and grits and my dining partner ordered the Oh Biscuit omelet with home fries. Our food came out quickly and was piping hot.
The shrimp and grits were delicious. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and blackened to perfection . I have tried so many “blackened” shrimp lately where they lacked any flavor at all and had the texture of tennis balls. These were the opposite in every way and were so flavorful! The grits were good and had nice chunks of seasoned tomato and a smattering of Parmesan cheese. All of it- delicious!
The Oh Biscuit omelet- bacon and lots of veggies and my table mate said it was delicious. The home fries were loaded with chunks of onion and peppers and she said they and the biscuit were excellent.
We enjoyed our lunch very much and will be frequenting this little treasure often! You can tell when people care about what and how they serve others! ❤️
