The food that I’ve ate here multiple times is always good, the atmosphere is nice, the service is OK, but now that they’ve added sushi it’s NOT GOOD AT ALL. I went to grab the sushi with my chopsticks and usually worry about it falling apart, but it was rock hard. I tried it anyways, but there was no way this was made fresh at all. This tastes like it is one or more days old. Would NOT recommend getting the sushi, obviously they don’t make it fresh daily. It’s an ok bar if you aren’t in any hurry at all and want to waste time waiting for service, your drinks, and ok bar food.

I stopped at Ogle County Brewery to try their beers. It is a super cool historic building in Oregon IL. It’s a big place and they have a lot of history around the facility. The service was really friendly and attentive. They had 9 of their own beers on for my stop with some unique options. Beers included: strawberry ale, an amber wheat, vanilla and hazelnut porter, west coast IPA, oktoberfest, an english golden ale, pineapple habanero, American pils, a cider, and a seltzer. The oktoberfest was smooth, the amber wheat was good, the porter was my favorite. They also have guest beers, a full bar, and the food looked really good (but I had already eaten.) I would definitely stop again if I am in the area.

I have to say the inside of this place is beautiful. You can get lost just looking around. bathrooms were clean. However the food was not our cup of tea. The sandwiches Meat was all chopped up with all the dressings almost like a tuna salad or something. I had the brisket sandwich (5) and fries (10). My wife had chicken (5). We also had some pork kind of like ribblet’s those were great (8). The cocktails made perfect. The price was very high $62.20 not including the tip, Although I don’t think we will be back to eat here we definitely will be back for a cocktail. Thank you Ogle County brewery for feeding us.

I would’ve loved to give the food 5 stars… But I cannot. I ordered the special: bacon brisket burger with fries. The presentation was beautiful, but the first bite was not what I expected. The brisket was dry and tough. The bun, although tasty, was entirely too big for the meat patty. Very skimpy on the meats, and the sandwich definitely needed mayo to compensate for the small amount of aioli on the bun. The jalapenos were delicious, but pickled jalapenos usually are! The fries were okay, but I was extremely surprised that there were no condiments at the table so we were halfway done with the burgers before the help (sauces) arrived. They serve Pepsi products and I feel like the fountain mix needs some calibration… Pepsi was entirely too sweet. Overall just disappointed with the food. But the female server was absolutely delightful and on top of managing the entire bar and dining area solo. Very impressive indeed.

Loved this place so much. The bartenders had my husband and I laughing the whole time. I felt like I was at home. It was so cool to come in and see them act as a family but also providing great service. I felt like I was on the sitcom “Cheers.” Special shout out to Kate and Hannah. You ladies are not afraid to be yourself and I love it!

We enjoyed our experience but don’t think we will make it back any time soon. The buildout of this brew pub is quite nice. They used a lot of previous materials and local antique items to give the place a wonderful look. It was interesting just to look around the room. Service was painfully slow and uninspiring. There’s a comfort level with walking past you that I don’t understand. They had 4 of their own beers, but one tap wasn’t working. The beers are ok, nothing needed a second serving. Flatbread was pretty good. Brisket sandwich was overpowered by the toasted sesame seeds on the bun. It was just ok. I hope they can keep their vision and keep improving.

Speedy, thorough, helpful with the beer menu, friendly service. Can’t wait to return. Had the Brisket pizza, pretzel bites, smoked gouda curds. All very good. Spoke with the owner Brian, nice guy!

Beer hit the spot. Both the buffalo and honey sriracha wings were amazing. Place wasn’t busy at all and the server was fast and courteous. Both nights I ate here I was very satisfied.

A nice place in an old downtown building along the main road through Oregon. And good beers for those of us who aren’t big on IPAs.
