It’s by the entrance, on the ground floor of voco Sarasota by IHG (former Indigo). They off 10% off with the Van Wezel concert.
We’ve crab cake & steak Chimi: I really like my crab cake, the steak is a bit chewy but yummy, and the white rice is cooked to perfection.
I like their blue heavy and sturdy chairs, and simple menu. The wine glass has its label, but it could be better. The lone bartender serves the tables, too.
The hotel bathroom is clean, but one of the booth’s heaters (?) or ventilators is noisy.

After a quick ride from North Port, we checked in and wanted to get into the pool. So, we ordered the food to go. Just 10 minutes later, it was ready for us to enjoy poolside. The next day, I again ordered food to go. Again, I was told it would take 10 minutes. I paid, and went to my room to change my clothes before I returned to pick up my order. To my surprise, I got an urgent call. It was 20 minutes after I ordered my food, and I was stuck in my room on that call when I had a knock at the door…That bartender looked at the room number I charged the bill to, and brought my food to my room!!! I actually got emotional. It had been a long day, and this woman’s kindness…providing something BEYOND her job description- it just moved me to tears. I’ve been accustomed to the fact that customer appreciation, customer service, etc are a thing of the past. I couldn’t believe it…but I guess I should have since it’s all within the “retro” vibe of the hotel. Lol

This restaurant is inside the lobby area of the Hotel Indigo. I’m not sure of all the hours, but this is a Friday night and they are closing at 9pm, not 11p as Google states. I had the Flounder Alfredo Florentine and it was delightful. Enough sauce to use on the veggies but not so much it was drowning. Perfect amount for me. Potatoes were tender and tasty. The service was better than the food. I sat in the corner to get work done. She was not overbearing, but she did check in me and refilled my water as needed, which was appreciated. I was staying at the hotel and ate there out of convenience but was pleasantly surprised!

Camilo took amazing care of me at the bar. Had a great chicken pasta. Really enjoy the hotel and the staff. I’ve stayed here a few times and the same people are here each time, which is a good sign in my opinion. Quality place to eat and rest!

On Dec 12, 2024, four of us attempted have dinner around 6. We arrived a few minutes late because the entrance off of Boulevard of the Arts requires use of a room card to enter. We were headed to watch the Sarasota Orchestra (across the street) at 7:30. There were between 15-20 people counting folks at tables and at the bar (about 1/4 – 1/3 full I’d guess). We ordered, received drinks. We were promised food was coming. At 7:20 we informed the waitress that we were leaving. She provided to go boxes for three of the four dinners that were prepared. She charged us for the food but not our drinks. We specifically pick this place due to its proximity to the Orchestra. This posting if to warn others that might be thinking the same.

Stayed at the Hotel last weekend, and just had to try breakfast here in the morning. I was not disappointed! It was great. They are open for breakfast and dinner. Wife had a pizza one night and I had to sneak a piece for myself. She didn’t want to share it was so good. She also said the burger (the next night) was really good. Cheryl, our server, was personable and engaged with us just the right amount! She also was always around just in case we needed something.

Was extremely disappointed with the service of the restaurant. I went over in the morning to order a cappuccino and some sort of light breakfast snack. When I arrived to the bar area, there were 2 servers, who were definitely busy. The only issue is I was not acknowledged whatsoever when I walked up, and not acknowledged at all while I sat and waited. Atop of that, one of the servers walked by me (directly in front of me) twice, looked at me, said nothing, and kept walking by. I sat for close to 15 minutes and finally decided to go up to the hotel front desk to get a recommendation for another place closeby to order coffee. I was given a spot located in another hotel nearby, which I decided to walk over to instead of sitting there any longer being ignored. Unfortunately, I have no food to review, as I was never served, thus, the reason for low food rating

This is in a hotel and online it states open but they are actually closed from 11-3. 4 people standing at the front desk and as we asked if this was the location for the restaurant, not one person stated that it was closed. Had to look at the sign on the wall which is posted behind the front desk…
