Best barbecue. Full stop, anywhere I’ve had it, best is here. Flawless. Fried okra and blackberry BBQ sauce. Brisket on a bun seared with a hot brand. It’s not scenic, just a shack in a gravel parking lot next to the highway but this place could be next to an open-air crematorium and the food would still be worth it. I already said, best barbecue anywhere. It says it all. Also, the only reason I don’t eat here often is because the portions are so hefty it feels like a eating experience rather than a casual bite. If barbecue is your jam this is the only stop in Chatt you need to make.

After hearing great reviews about Chef Q, I had to try the BBQ myself. I got the pulled pork sandwich, and it was top tier — perfectly smoked, great flavor, and generously piled high. Sauce was on point, fries were choice. My new go-to for BBQ in Chattanooga.

When I received my food it was hot, fresh and smelled as if it had come straight off the grill. That smoky smell is so intoxicating . I could hardly wait to get home to dig in. Needless the say, it was worth the wait. The ribs were seasoned to perfection and the brisket was so juice and tender…chefs kiss!!. The greens tasted like my mom went into their kitchen and prepared them just for me. I rated a 5 on the atmosphere because though the restaurant does not have indoor seating, there is seating available on the covered patio. This was my first visit and I will visit again. I want to try the blackberry sauce.

We ordered via Door Dash and the order processed immediately. Even though this restaurant is in Hixson and I live in Harrison, the meal arrived hot about 40 minutes after ordering. The star of this show was the smoked Mac and cheese. It was very cheesy and had a wonderful smoked flavor: I’ve never had anything like it before. The broccoli salad was excellent with onions, sweet peppers, walnuts, carrots, and a delicate sauce. It is unusual for the sides to be unique and as outstanding as the meat, but this restaurant takes its sides seriously. The smoked turkey was heavenly. The meat portions were very generous and we have enough for a second meal today. The cost before tip and delivery fees was $30.

Visiting from North Carolina and had to try this place out. Very happy that I did! Had the brisket, collard greens, smoked mac & cheese, and cornbread. Five star meal in every regard. The brisket was fantastic, the mac & cheese had great flavor and consistency, and the collard greens were the best I’ve ever had. Definitely not a sit down restaurant as seating is outside only. Can’t wait to go back and try their sausage.

We needed to find a new place for our BBQ fix after our disaster with Rib and Loin. At LEAST 15 people recommended Off The Grill and it did not disappoint. The ribs were the best we have ever had, the turkey was moist and tasty, and the catfish was solid. Sides were spot on with the broccoli salad being my favorite. Definitely glad we went in search of a new place, this is our new favorite in town!

Fall off the bone #ribs.This is dry smoked BBQ meaning it’s is not cooked in the sauce which is the traditional Chatanoogan way. The sauce was off the chain ,Scrumptious.We had the smoked Mac n cheese, ( like Memaw’s) fried ocra, collard greens. Kind friendly service .

This place smelt over whelming with fresh wood. Then when I tried the meatloaf and ribs, they tasted as bad as the smoke smelt. If you like good bbq I wouldn’t recommend this place as they claim to me Chattanooga Special BBQ. If this is what Chattanooga accepts as good you just need to go over to Momo’s BBQ in Dayton Tn and find some real BBQ!!!

I can’t say enough good things about the food here. Have tried nearly all of the meat they have on offer. Everything is delicious. Might also be the best collards I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Ever. Their slaw is very tasty as well.

I can’t try their cornbread or rolls because I’m allergic to gluten but my husband says they are also very good. He’s also had their mac n cheese and likes that also.

I’d say we order pick-up from them at least once a week now. I look forward to our meal here every time.
