Off The Grill on Dorsett is one of those spots that somehow freezes time in the best way. I hadn’t been in years, but the second those sirloin tips hit the table, it was like nothing had changed — still tender, still seasoned right, still that “why don’t I come here more often” kind of good.
And the loaded potato? Listen. It’s exactly the kind of chaos I want in a side: cheese melting into butter, bacon bits piled like they’re trying to prove a point. Zero notes.
I also grabbed the chicken ranch pita, and it was so solid I didn’t even realize until after I finished it that I forgot to put the ranch on. That’s how you know the chicken is doing the heavy lifting — juicy, flavorful, no sauce required.
What did surprise me was spotting a filet mignon on the menu. Either that’s new or I was too broke back in the day to even look in that direction. Either way, I’m absolutely coming back for it. If their sirloin tips are still hitting after all these years, I’m ready to see what they do with a filet.
Verdict: Off The Grill is still Off The Grill — dependable, hearty, and quietly elite. A perfect January comfort pick.

I recently ordered the large steak tip dinner through GrubHub for delivery. My order arrived promptly, and the driver was friendly, although slightly lost. I enjoyed my meat and vegetables, but I set aside the potato for later.
When I decided to warm it up, I unwrapped it only to find that it was completely inedible—unfit for consumption and resembling something ready for the compost heap. It was disheartening to see that it looked like it was already decomposing.
I have been a loyal customer of Off the Grill for many years and have even hired them to cater events in the past. Sadly, this was the worst experience I’ve had with them. If this is the direction their business is heading, it raises concerns about their standards.
I attempted to contact the store regarding this issue, but unfortunately, my concerns seemed to go unheard. In today’s economy, it is crucial for businesses to value every customer, even those who may only order a few times a year, as each transaction contributes to their success.
I hope to see improvements moving forward.

Ordered via Foodsby. No email sent when it arrived (not sure if Foodsby or Off the Grill). Steak sandwich was good, although missing the cheese that was ordered. Interestingly, the note on the bag stated “Need more than 1 order if we are gonna continue delivering to this location”. Interesting since as a customer, I don’t control who else orders from them at a commercial location. Maybe they need to market more. I won’t order again though since it must be too much trouble to deliver to this location.

If you are considering eating here, don’t. Skip it. I gambled on it and lost. Only 2 employees. 2 women, one at the counter and one at the grill. Neither want to be there and made me feel like I was bothering them by placing an order. Took over 30 mins for lunch. Food was sub par, over cooked, terrible. And the theme of the atmosphere of the entire place is Unsanitary. Avoid this tiny hell.

This food was delicious. I had a salmon with freshly grilled squash, peppers and mushrooms. It was the first time I had ever been there and really enjoyed it. It is probably more of a takeout place than a sit and eat place as there were only narrow counters along the window wall, but they did a booming business while I was there. I highly recommend it

Sirloin tips lunch was tender, juicy, filling for about $11. The guy who took my order was friendly. I got my food quickly. This place is best for takeout but does have an outdoor table and a small indoor counter to eat. The takeout packaging does a good job to preserve heat and freshness for the steak. Love that they give a tea with carryouts.

I went here about 3 weeks ago for the first time. The food was good at that time. I thought I would go again, hoping the food would be good as last time. I was so disappointed. I went back on 4/27/2022, ordered the same thing. It was terrible. The grill chicken was tough, and rubbery; I broke my knife trying to cut it. I don’t know if there was a different cook that day; But I couldn’t eat it. I tried because I spent my money. I ended up throwing the rest away. The potato wedges were over seasoned. It seemed like they just threw a ton of dry rub over them. Not even paying attention to how much they were putting on them; Just drenched them. Please be consistent with the way the food is prepared. If you have different cooks they should be cooking at the same level as the other cooks to ensure the food is properly prepared, and taste the same every time. Why do you offer Sweet Tea and it’s not even sweet. The Tea was bland, and disgusting. To customers reading this review. Try New York Grill they sell just about the same thing, and the food is always good, meat is always tender. Most importantly the food is cooked right every time.

upon arriving the place was dimly lit and no signs of life at 1pm on a Friday. when the lady finally came out it seemed as if we were a bother to the establishment and each inquiry to the food was met with a faint sigh followed by a monotone response. food was great though

Really liked the place and ordered quite a bit. However, this is the 2nd time I ordered the 14oz steak tips and half were uneatable. I could not chew through them they were so tough. I complained the first time and they did nothing except lie and tell me they fixed the problem. No more for me.
