Reviews
We loved it so much we will be returning at the end of the month on Jan 31 to celebrate my husband’s birthday and we can’t wait to experience this lovely restaurant again! Highly recommend for incredible service, food/drinks and an amazing vibe inside.
I truly enjoyed every minute of our time there. The food overall was good, though the rice and chicken were fairly average in taste. The mac and cheese, unfortunately, was salty for my liking. That said, the dessert and appetizers were absolutely to die for and definitely highlights of the meal.
Despite a few minor food notes, the service, atmosphere, and overall experience were wonderful. I would definitely come back to try more items on the menu.
Mark took our order and was absolutely wonderful—so friendly and a joy to talk to. It’s hard to believe this was only their fifth brunch because everything was truly magnificent. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which were completely out of this world, and my friend had the chicken and waffles. Let me just say—the chicken was to die for. We highly recommend it.
Horace, the owner, even came by to introduce himself and share a bit about his background and the opening of the restaurant, which made the experience feel even more special. This concept is truly unique, and I genuinely wish him all the success—this place deserves it.
I didn’t catch the bartender’s name, but he made my friend an espresso martini with tequila that she absolutely loved. A true mixologist who clearly knows exactly what he’s doing.
We will definitely be back to try the dinner menu. Chef’s kiss to the chef—absolutely worth it.
The food was all delicious. Highly recommend the short rib, its one of the better short rib meals I’ve had in a while.
Bartenders were friendly and the drinks were very good.
Lighting and ambience was very calm and relaxing.
Music/DJ options were appropriate. Music wasn’t too loud and you could still hear conversation at your table.
People here are dressed very nicely thanks to the dress code.
Service was top notch from the wait staff and bartenders.
I recommend you check it out!
Off The Clock is EXACTLY the kind of place food‑ and music‑led diners should seek out in downtown Lake Worth Beach for a date night. The no‑TV policy, vinyl‑driven sound system, and clear split between a quieter front dining room and a more immersive listening lounge in the back make it feel special without being pretentious.
HOSPITALITY THAT HITS
The husband‑and‑wife team, Hector and Liz, are present in the room and it shows in the warm greeting, immediate seating, and 10/10 arrival experience with water and first drinks handled flawlessly.
THE FOOD
Genuinely strong across the board:
• OTC Spiced Wings & tamarind‑glazed short ribs = NO‑BRAINER MUST‑ORDERS (fall‑off‑the‑bone meat, big balanced flavor)
• Tamarind plantains = unusual and perfectly in tune with the Caribbean‑leaning menu
• Salt cod fritters with sauce créole = FANTASTIC 9.5/10 (unapologetically salty, as the name suggests)
• Mac and cheese = 9/10 from a self‑described mac‑and‑cheese obsessive
DRINKS
Pre‑dinner drinks were a highlight: wife’s cosmopolitan was spot‑on in color and balance, and my local Accelerate IPA from Matthews Brewing showed they take local beer as seriously as cocktails.
THE WINE LIST
Compact but clearly curated — Italy and France as the spine plus smart New World and offbeat picks. Stylistically: 9/10 for food‑friendly reds and a mix of classics and geeky bottles. Value is nuanced: prestige labels carry higher‑end markup, but there’s a clear sweet spot in the mid‑range where bottles like Presqu’ile Syrah deliver VERY STRONG price‑to‑quality. Wine lovers can drink smart if they choose carefully.
⭐ SERVICE ⭐
Pacing was excellent throughout the night, and Chef Reggie personally checked on our table and shared his fine‑dining and Formula 1 background — engaged and genuinely hospitable.
VERDICT: A true gem in Lake Worth Beach. Go for the vibe, stay for the food and hospitality.
I went to dinner last night and from the moment we walked in, the entire experience was flawless. The customer service was incredible — everyone was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. That energy matters.
The music was perfect, the vibe was just right, and the atmosphere made you want to stay all night. It felt like the whole place was in sync.
Now let’s talk about the drinks — the craft cocktails were phenomenal. You can literally taste every fresh ingredient. Nothing watered down, nothing rushed. Just well-crafted drinks made with care. And I’m not even exaggerating when I say everything was on point all the way down to the ice cubes — perfect.
And the food? Perfectly seasoned. Every dish was on point. From the front of the house to the back of the house, the entire team was operating like one band, one sound.
Safe to say… this is officially my new regular spot.
