This is my second time at The Offshore and it was a pleasant experience. My first time was years ago, so I don’t have much memory of it. We made a reservation for 4 and were sat upon arrival. It’s a very cozy atmosphere. I honestly would love to sit at the bar. It has at least 2 fireplaces, which makes it perfect for off season as well. Our server was absolutely lovely. She was kind and patient and attentive to our needs. We started with drinks from
the bar which were served quickly and strong. The Spicy and Greasy Rhode Island Calamari was a great choice for an app. It was definitely spicy! The calamari was tender and delicious. The salad with the house dressing was fresh. The dressing is very good and the homemade croutons added a nice touch. For my entree, I ordered linguine with white clam sauce. The clams were plentiful, but the sauce lacked much flavor. That is my only wish for improvement. The servings are massive! Definitely brought home leftovers. My mom got the flounder francaise and loved it. Another member of our party got the meatball appetizer as her meal and enjoyed it. We have an overall nice experience, plus it has a dedicated parking lot which is an added bonus!

I picked this restaurant to have dinner at the last minute, and as soon as I walked in, I really liked the vibe. The place was packed, and the hostess was nice enough to put me at the bar even though it seemed like a bit of a tight squeeze between a few other patrons.
I ordered the pan seared crab cakes entree, which comes with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The crab cakes were really good and weren’t dry. The mashed potatoes, however, were good but desperately needed some salt. So overall, the meal was decent.
The restaurant itself is very lovely and the service I got was great. The bartender whipped up a wicked cocktail, and there wasn’t a wait time on getting my food order. They have a good-sized food and drinks. menu, and the prices here are reasonable for the Jersey Shore. In closing, I could see myself eating here again. I will just have to make a reservation in advance to get a table rather than sit at the crowded bar.

This is a diamond in the rough. Few places in the area excel at cuisine, service, and style like The Off Shore. The ambiance is exceptionally warm and inviting. The food is fresh, flavorful and presents flawlessly. Their drink menu is enticingly creative. (Don’t miss their espresso martini.) And the service is a well oiled machine that runs tight and executes with smiles on top of smiles. The owners are not only present, but driven by perfection and customer satisfaction. Do plan to visit. You won’t regret it.
I think I’ve talked myself into dinner tonight!

Had a good time on our first visit while our second was less memorable. The appetizers were good. Service was extremely slow. Main courses were decent. Oysters were fresh but could use some mignonette sause.

This is our “go to” place to eat! The food is always fantastic, the atmosphere sophisticated yet approachable, the staff are always friendly and helpful. They don’t chinz out on the drinks either! Not like the overpriced watered down cocktails on the boardwalk. Only 2 or 3 blocks from Jenkinsen’s amusements it is a welcome oasis in the miasma of typical boardwalk experiences. The chef has never disappointed me. The chicken francese is superb, the burgers are exceptional, and everything is always perfect! This last time I tried something new, the Italian dip… Awesome! Beautiful tender, lean slices of roast beef topped with a very generous helping of fresh made mozzarella in a delicious fresh bun! Served with a simple brown gravy for dipping. It was wonderful. I would think the only way to improve it is to serve it hot and offer toppings like onions and peppers, or caramelized onions and mushrooms in a sherry Demi glace’. Mmmmm. Always a pleasure to go there!
And don’t forget to go to their sister restaurant if you are going north. The Cranford Hotel is exceptional and follows the same courtesies and excellence that Off Shore does! I recommend the duck poutine!!! Yummmmm!

My first time coming to this restaurant and it was amazing! The experience was quiet and laid back as we relaxed by a tucket away fireplace. Our waitress Deb was very sweet and attentive. The food was delicious and fresh. If I wasn’t so full I would have eaten my whole plate because it was so good. Come hungry because they have great bread and salads too.

Have never been to The OffShore before. It was a great decision!! We were celebrating two birthdays 60-57. They gave us a private room which accommodated our party to perfection!! Our server Tom was very on point with his service and selection choices!! The food was excellent from our antipasto, tuna, conch fritters and wings to our main courses and of course desserts( especially the chocolate bedino)
. Thank you so much and we will be back for more!!

I had dinner with my friends mom. She’s frequent here. We sat at the bar. I had the scallops and shrimp scampi on special. The bartenders were friendly and were able to enjoy dinner and have a conversation. The other patrons at the bar were friendly, and we could have a good conversation. It’s a great local restaurant .
