The Coffman Review
After a short walk down Main Street in downtown Madison we arrived at Off Broadway Taproom. We had been before but it was a couple years ago. I remembered it being good.
We ordered a half-order of Loaded Steak Nachos to share. It arrived in record time— like three minutes!
They were AWESOME. They got everything right— salty and crispy house-made tortilla chips, creamy queso, juicy steak, zesty pico and corn salsa, and spicy fresh jalapeños. Their chef knows how to throw down!
My wife tried a beer from Kentucky-based Country Boy Brewing called Cougar Bait. It was a blonde ale and she loved it.
Service was excellent. Our server was incredibly friendly and made sure we enjoyed our time.
We enjoyed it so much we returned the next day. If it weren’t for the fact that I enjoy trying new places I’d probably eat here every time I came to town. It’s 21-and-over, so leave the kids at home.

I ordered the breadsticks with spicy mustard and beer cheese, the Cuban and loaded tots. Really good food. Service was great. The atmosphere was nice. I would definitely eat here again.

This place was actually really good. My wife and I came here on a Sunday around lunch time and the place was mostly packed. Maybe we didn’t see the whole place but it didn’t seem to have a lot of room. Luckily there was a table open.
The waitress was nice. The food was even better. The portion sizes were solid. In my pictures that is only a half order of the loaded tater tots. I ordered boneless wings and they were fresh and good quality. I tried one of their chicken tacos and it was good as well.
My only negative was that when me and my wife walked in we got some looks. This place has more of a small town vibe so seeing two strangers that obviously weren’t from there walk in may have thrown them off. I’m also a 6ft tall black guy in a town where I saw maybe 1 other black person the whole time. Not saying that’s the reason, I’m just saying.
Overall it was a very good experience. I’d definitely recommend it if you end up in Madison, Indiana for anything.

This is such a cool place to eat! The vegetarian selection was immaculate and the staff were amazing. This was genuinely some of the best food I’ve ever had. I got the pepper jelly black bean burger and didnt realize bacon came with it. One of the staff came back over to check if I wanted the bacon because she noticed I ordered the black bean burger which was very thoughtful. It just really showed that the staff cares. I also got a sweet potato taco and it was fantastic. My cousin ordered a buffalo chickpea sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. I will make it a point to eat here anytime I am in town.

So so so so bad just buy carnita tacos they were nasty make me mad that I spent all that money to get wet tacos. With all the water from the pineapple. No carnita meat at all in it a lot of pineapple an all the tortillas wet never again in my life will I get something there! All my food in the trash lost of money! Tell me if y’all eat this

Server was polite and friendly, warned us up front and had a Limited menu due to lack of help. We were ok with that since we wasn’t in a rush. Group of four we had tacos, nachos, carnitas & cheese fries which was barely above room temperature. If the food was warm would’ve rated a five but suspect our food was waiting on the waiter, he keep himself busy chatting with customers.

The waitstaff was attentive and the bartender was fantastic – offering samples of the wide selection of craft beers. The menu has a nice assortment of options and were good size portions for lunch. The tenderloin sandwich was a little bit tough but may try it again. The melt was fantastic though.

We went for Sunday brunch and sat at the bar. we had great service. She gave us some recommendations that turned out to be great. I had the biscuits and gravy with homemade biscuits and they were phenomenal. My wife had a traditional American egg breakfast and it was perfect. Prices are reasonable. We like the feel of the place.
