I love OEC (McFarland location). Started going 9 months ago and I go at least once a month. Employees are nice. Plenty of food. Food tastes delicious. Always fresh and made to order. Reasonably priced. Pictured: steak/shrimp hibachi, miso soup, ginger salad, shiny salmon roll (fried), rock n roll sushi. Eat it!

I placed an order through Uber Eats today, and it was perfection. I always love the Miso Soup from OEC when I’m sick. It’s knocks whatever is going on right out. Today I went a little overboard on the size of my order and spent $60 which is for 1 size small wearing individual mind you. I was not expecting the Sakura Roll to be so massive. Goodness gracious this thing is a meal by itself. The miso soup hits that special string in the soul that takes you back to days past when everything was still simple and beautiful. The spicy tuna roll humbly does what a simple sushi roll does best, which is being delicious. The Chicken Yakamesi always exceeds expectations, and the rest of it will be my lunch and potentially my dinner for tomorrow as well. It’s been years since I’ve had any food from OEC, but I’ve been going since they first opened. Those years of mistakes have come to an end and I will be having the delicious, and nourishing manna of the OEC kitchen more frequently than ever before now.

Wasn’t great. The sushi was dry and lacked flavor. I think the YUM YUM sauce was ketchup and mustard mixed together. It looked way better than it tasted. Teraki was too sweet. The rice and chicken was meh.

My go to roll is the Sakura roll..Full of crab meat and will definitely hit the spot. It’s fresh and cooked to perfection. Only thing I would say is they could be a little more generous with the ginger pieces

If you’re looking for authentic hibachi grilled food ,don’t come here. Nothing is prepared on a grill. I had to airfry my chicken when I got home. No grill marks chicken was pale and undercooked. Carrots were boiled and mushy. Oh, and we waited forever for our food even though we were the only customers in the establishment.

Sent my husband up there to pick up my food, he’s never been there , I was on FT with him and the guy handing him the food was rude to him, we are POC, there where 2 white girls in there he clearly acknowledged and said thank you please come again to, my husband he completely ignored, sat the food on the counter and walked off, I wish I was there that would not have happened,I was a regular customer because it’s near my work, I won’t be back!

Please make sure that you actually include the meat that is supposed to come with the sushi. I’ve overlooked it several times now picking up orders on the fly but this isn’t acceptable. I am paying for sushi, not seaweed fried rice.
