Enjoyed a few cold refreshment at a cool little bar Our bartender was great and provided very useful info of the area.

This is a local staple in Carencro on a Sunday or a Monday night with its steak night and it’s live music. Drinks are plentiful and so are the fun times in the tiny town next to Lafayette

This is a little hole in the wall serving up amazing steaks cooked over an open flame, using hickory wood, making for a mouth watering delicious steak! Live music and amazing staff top it off!

Went on recommendation of a local for the live music and alleged good food. Typical dive bar with a couple of different rooms. We sat in the back room waiting for the music. Had a mediocre crawfish etouffee that would have fit in the palm of your hand. The gravy was good but the crawfish was mostly overcooked or old, dry and chewy set on a bed of plain white rice. Is that even legal in LA?!

Friend had a tiny spattering of worse-than-movie-theater “nachos” and dad had a tiny “steakburger” that was supposed to be so great (according to same local that wound up not showing up) but tasted frozen and made of lesser quality meat and was smaller than a hockey puck. Not sure if they intend to offer small plates (tapas) since nothing indicates that’s the style of dining, or if they’re just stingy. Either way, SO not worth a gallon of gas to get here. Limited beer/liquor selection.

When they asked for $15pp for the music we left. Sunday night, live music and only one occupied table other than ours… Maybe it picked up after but I wasn’t impressed.

Hello,

I wanted to share our recent experiences in hopes of helping improve service. For two weeks in a row now, we’ve tried to order steaks without success.

Last week, we were informed at the last minute that the restaurant decided not to cook steaks that evening. Tonight, we were placed on hold for 30 minutes and no one ever returned to the line. When we tried calling back, the line stayed busy and we couldn’t get through at all.

We were really looking forward to the meal both times and left disappointed. We hope this feedback helps address whatever issues may be happening.

Thanks,

I had been to O’Darbys in the past, working for a musical group creating video content for them.
This time, on 2/17/24, I was performing with Donna Angelle playing Zydeco music.
Both times, the atmosphere, service, and food were great!
Definitely recommend O’Darbys for food, fun, and dancing!
