Be careful here I guess. Some friends and I came here a little bit ago, and it started out great. Later in the night, we all went outside for some fresh air. A local guy named “Phil” that obviously knew the owners also came out. One of my friends made a light hearted joke about HIS OWN name, saying it was “Gustave” instead of his actual name. That was enough to make Phil snap and grab our friend by the neck and lift him up against a brick wall. Keep in mind, my friend is young enough to be Phil’s son. It took multiple men to pull Phil off of my friend and get him to stop choking him.
Once the staff came out and got Phil off of my friend, they proceeded to defend him and say “Oh yeah that’s just Phil sorry about that”. Then asked US to leave and let Phil come in and enjoy the bar… after attempted murder.
So just be careful who you joke with here and expect staff to defend your assailant.

Awesome Irish neighborhood bar that’s always been there and will probably always be. Good bar food, drinks and music. What’s not to like?

Last minute stop after a work convention. It was late but Brandon was super helpful, attentive and patient with our rowdy crowd. 5 stars, can’t wait to come back

This bar was great back when it was Duke’s. Ever since the new owner came in, he changed the entire atmosphere and destroyed the camaraderie of the establishment. The owner is rude and pretentious and behaves like he levitates above everyone else. He really needs to grow up and realize he’s running a bar, not a preschool.

Literally we were driving by and took a chance!
It was exactly as it should be, a nice neighborhood tavern that was welcoming to a couple of strangers that stopped in for a pint or two. Yes, they serve GUINNESS! Food was comfortable, and tasty! The tavern has plenty of LARGE screen tvs for watching the Phillies from any point of view! We sat near the bar at a pub table, but they have a separate dining area where you could sit at a table away from the bar.

Recently purchased a home nearby that is being renovated. Stopped in for a burger and beer aftr working on home. Sat at the bar: friendly staff and bartender. Total local vibe. TV had sports playing. Typical tavern menu, drinks, atmosphere. Can be local hang out onced moved into home. Cash only.

Duke’s is now O’Connell’s. Stopped in on a Tuesday night and new owner was there. It is now a smoke free establishment. Moon is making some upgrades. The staff and cooks are staying so the food and service will remain awesome!
