Reviews
Despite the marginal reviews online, I decided to check out a new local spot. First impression was great. Good Menu. Food arrived as expected.
Mac and Cheese was REALLY good, first bite of Burger and it tasted GREAT. Then it started getting pink, and another bite Pinker, then cut the center out of the burger because it was PINK, this dang burger has half cooked inside!
The burgers are a bit expensive at $9.50 but for a good burger, I’d pay that! But for Half a Good burger that is undercooked, Id guess you would pay Half Price, or they would try and remedy the problem and strike it from your check. NOPE. $15+ was my final bill.
Why didn’t I tel someone?
Well, the kids working there was too busy on their phones to come by after they refilled my tea glass.
So, I told them when they asked “How was Everything”
“It was great until half my burger was raw and I was scared to eat it!
This must happen often, as their response was of little shock, and “Another one”
BEWARE, with so many young kids running that place, I’m leery of ever going back.
The Grill is not “cheap eats.” The prices are high enough remind you that you’re not eating fast food–and you’re NOT. This food tastes s-l-o-w. Delicious. High calorie. It’s maybe the best cooking in Walhalla, unless you count Grandma’s. (Vegetarians have limited options unless they eat fried fish. That was true at Grandma’s, too!)
The outside is unpretentious, and the gravel parking lot is sometimes tight. But if you haven’t tried the Grill yet, you should. You’ll probably see friends there–I always do.
