My wife is on the picky side and my ONLY complaint was the tartar sauce. Our grandson and his girl ate everything and didn’t complain so all in all, we had a good time with our “Birthday Guests”!
I ordered the country fried steak, which finally came out 20 minutes later — nearly gravy-less. As I began to ask for more, the server quickly cut in to say, “I’m so sorry, that definitely needs more gravy.” Unfortunately, it took another 20 minutes to get a small cup of gravy… by which point my meal was cold. She explained the kitchen was overwhelmed and they had to make the gravy fresh — but the restaurant was only at about half capacity on a Saturday night.
To her credit, the server did offer to take the meal off our bill, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. We’ve enjoyed O’Charley’s in the past, but this visit was a major disappointment.
Update July 2023: Our server was amazing! She was so friendly and patient (even though we kept talking instead of looking at the menu ). Our food was delivered seemingly quickly. It was hot and tasty. There was a man (manager, maybe?) that was walking around and asked us how our food was so far. We had no complaints.
Original post: They were out of a lot of food on the menu because they didn’t get their most recent truck they said. And the things they were out of kept growing.
After 20 minutes we were served their normally delicious rolls – they weren’t warm and there was a dead bug on one of them. The server took her finger & flicked the bug off and said she would get us more. When she came back with the fresh, warm rolls she told us that it was a flake from the pans that were put on the shelf above the rolls. IT WAS CLEARLY A BUG. A dead bug at that. Don’t insult my vision nor my ability to identify a bug.
My lunch ended up consisting of rolls (that I wasn’t going to eat) and fried pickles. We should’ve left as the list of items they were out of kept growing off the already shortened menu.
We had Piping Hot Chicken Tortilla Soup that made up for it tho! Delicious! They ran out of rolls, but that’s ok…we got there an hour b4 closing….overall it was a good dining experience & I would return to this location again!
Had a text for free appetizer, was noted by server could only be a $6.99 app, only two on the menu and both were not appealing. The text had nothing stated of a price limit, a bit disappointing.
