Harbor side location is excellent. Extend happy hours from 11am-6pm is convenient.
However small plate is more like lunch items prices instead of happy hour offerings. Best item was calamari tempura.
Zucchini was under cooked. Spinach dip was fine but stale chips ruined. Baja fish taco was frozen with mouth full of water when eaten. Overall nothing to write home on food but drinks were okay. Service was excellent. Will skip for next time.

Was only there once in December and it wasn’t busy. Had a great marina view even though it was overcast. Excellent service. The spin dip was great.
But the mini burger from the happy hour menu was a tiny over cooked hockey puck. I had it to go so didn’t see it at first or I would’ve definitely sent it back.
Still Would return and try the regular menu!
Great location & nice big patio seating area.

It was a nice overcast, rainy day. A good day for the Broiler lunch. We mostly had Waters and one margarita.

We had wedge salads, 3 bowls of clam chowder, Cajun seared ahi Sashimi, Calamari Tempura, four coconut shrimp, and blackened salmon tacos.

Everything was excellent, awesome Sashimi, Calamari, and clam chowder.

Service was great, pace was clean, an nice views of the port.

Always a great time at Oceanside Broiler.
A great place for locals and visitors to enjoy

I always like to sit outside and enjoy the view of the boat harbor. There is outdoor seating in the front but the better option is the back patio

There is a happy hour menu available most of the day. We like the coconut shrimp, the chicken lettuce wraps and the sliders.

While staying nearby, I was craving seafood and searched within a 4mile radius Oceanside Broiler quickly caught my attention. I arrived a bit early, so the restaurant wasn’t crowded yet, which gave me time to really look over the menu. What immediately stood out was the oyster selection something I had been craving! I didn’t hesitate to order 9 pieces (three orders), and every bite was fresh and delicious. We also tried the fish, along with a few other dishes I can’t quite remember probably because I was too busy enjoying everything! The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was warm and friendly. I definitely recommend Oceanside Broiler to anyone looking for great seafood in the area. I’m already thinking about coming back again soon!

We drove down to Oceanside in late July (between LA and SD) for 2 nights and wanted to try some fresh seafood. This place was recommended by our hotel staff.
It was not disappointing as their seafood was really fresh. We had king crab, calamari, and grilled salmon. We chose outdoor seating which had a view of the marina.
The service was great. In fact, we dined here 2 days in a row. Highly recommend their calamari!!

First time I have been here and now will be a place we make sure we go to when in town . Food was good service was amazing a beautiful little spot to eat outdoors. We were in for lunch didn’t want to get to full family of 4 decided to do family style and order stuff off Happy Hour menu to share and nibble on . Everything was good only complaint I’d have is I wouldn’t get the Caesar salad was $8 very small and plain nothing special. They did make amazing mocktails for our nephews that were with us .

Great atmosphere, relaxing, not loud at all if you sit in the back area, comfortable seating and the food is great! Happy hour is from 4 to 6 and it’s really worth it.

Service was great – Peggy did a great job and was very helpful with her recommendations to improve our dining experience. Everything she suggested was great. The things we ordered on our own without her input were mediocre. The star of the show was the coconut shrimp – amazing! Where I come from in Wisconsin, battered fish fries are a staple, and their battered cod her was above average but nothing to write home about – probably not worth the price point. The pasta in my friend’s dish was a little overcooked (though perhaps that’s the American way). The sourdough bread was nice and warm and the presentation was great, but it was really tough and chewy on the bottom. I’ve had a lot of sourdough, so I know it’s normally tougher than many breads, but this was far beyond that and indicated it may have been in a warmer too long or something like that – but at least it wasn’t expensive. We had a discount from one of the local resorts, but otherwise the price would have been too high for what the food was. Could have almost been a 4 star review, but rounded down to 3 because of the off-theme, suggestive art in the men’s restroom above the urinals that needlessly assaults the sight and imagination of those in the middle of a normal dining experience. It wasn’t what I wanted to be thinking of when having dinner with friends and would be a very easy fix – just make it something to do with the ocean, fishing, sailing, or really anything else beautiful, simple, and on-theme.

Oceanside Broiler’s happy hour kicks off at 11am (bless) with plenty of $6–$12 plates and drinks. We had Baja fried fish tacos, oysters, and some chowder… food was decent, nothing mind-blowing, but it came out fast.
The real star is the gorgeous harbor view and sunny outdoor seating. Yes, the wood inside is a little sticky, but that’s part of the old-harbor charm. Bonus points for the dog-friendly front patio. I’ll keep coming back for cheap drinks and harbor view!
