Our second visit to OB on our trip to Avon. The shrimp tacos were delicious and my son had the fried mahi mahi sandwich. This was dinner and the place wasn’t packed and the server was delightful. 6 of us visited Wednesday and enjoyed the wings special and every dish from the bang bang shrimp, blackened mahi mahi sandwich and my Avon Burger was delicious! Oh I didn’t mention the wings they were great also. If you have the pleasure of being served by the lovely blond with the accent…it is a Polish accent and possibly one of the best servers on the East Coast.

This has been the best meal I’ve had here in the Outer Banks so far! I had fried oysters and sauteed zucchini. My husband had the Avon burger, which has egg, bacon, cheese, and onion on it, with fries, and we split onion rings. Not only were the oysters terrific, but I enjoyed the zucchini just as much. The onion rings were great as well, and my husband said the burger was delicious. The prices were also decent. Would definitely come here again.

Food was amazing! Got the blackened Mahi, the seasoning was perfect. Grilled shrimp, perfectly flavored. Onion rings were nice and crunchy. Had live music while we were there, had a lovely time. Service was great!

Spent about a week in Avon — I think my boyfriend and I made a stop here almost every day! Nice place to grab a couple beers and we’ve tried several food items on the menu. Favorites were the clam chowder, hush puppies, fresh shrimp (really any shrimp item), and seared tuna. The bartenders were also super friendly and attentive. Thank you guys!

Delicious food and cold beers each visit. The salad dressing is made in house and every thing we’ve tried has been top notch. Definitely a high point of our visit to Avon each year. We just love it.

We go to the bistro every year when we come to the beach. This year they continued their streak as being the best seafood on Hatteras. The old bay chips were outstanding as well as the hush puppies. The shrimp and scallop platter was outstanding as well. We enjoyed our meal at an outside table where we could watch the sunset. The outstanding long island ice teas were also perfect.

The food is Great!!! Service was Excellent as well. The Mahi blackened was really tasty. Service came quick and the servers kept our glasses full.

Service was great, don’t get me wrong. However, the food was way below expectations. They took it off the bill, but I order a medium rare prime rib with a side of mashed potatoes. I cut into it to take a bite, only was the prime rib well done and they took my dish back to “fix it” but they returned the same exact prime rib with the cut into it and potentially cooked it even more. The mash potatoes were also ice cold.
If you want to go for drinks it’s a fun place for it, but food simply was not good.

We love Oceanas, everything you eat from there is incredible from shrimp to tacos and the mango salsa is incredible. We love all our waiters and waitresses but they have a gem in Amy. You couldn’t ask for a sweeter, attentive waitress who knows you when you walk in. Highly recommend!!
