At Oceana Restaurant & Bistro, we exist to create experiences & memories that transcend mere dining by the sea. We combine culinary excellence with superb service in the most exquisite setting on St. Thomas. Overlooking the aqua colors of the Baye de Grigri, Oceana is regarded as one of the island’s most iconic locations for dining. Most tables in our open-air dining room offer unobstructed views of the sea, passing sailboats, landing seaplanes, spectacular breathtaking sunsets and equally dramatic full moons rising. We feature upscale from scratch dining, using only the freshest ingredients. Unsurprisingly seafood dominates our menu.

From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped us choose the perfect dishes. I’m not usually a seafood lover, but this meal completely changed my mind. The ceviche was absolutely to die for. I’ll 100% be back soon!

The atmosphere was warm inviting. The was no live music at the time of dining. The salmon, tuna, and salad were delicious along with the deserts. I would definitely not mind coming back for seconds. Hopefully, I can enjoy the sunset on my next visit.

Very disappointing overall!
Food was good,atmosphere was good but what happened to us once we paid never happened to us travelling anywhere in the world before and made us hate the place.
It’s an expensive place, taking 20% service charge already upfront – bill for 4 dishes/drinks 423$.
They took our credit card to charge it and it was gone for 15 minutes.
Then they came back and told us a mistake happened and that they took 705(!!)$ instead of 423$(!!).
Normally not a big deal, you would void the transaction or you credit back the wrong amount right away – not here.
They told us, they wanted to take a picture of our credit card (???), would get back to us in a couple of days, and we were told, they can’t credit us the wrong amount of 282$ on the card at this time but will find a solution the next day!?
This never ever happened to us anywhere else in the world.
You can void a charge or credit a charge right away, but get back after a day and get it re-credited (which can take days) while you are back home thousands miles away in a few days???
Absolutely not acceptable! So we disagreed and wanted to have a credit on the card right away or cash back.
The manager turned to he very defensive and even had an attitude, because we had asked for an immediate refund (this is our right!!) and ran away in the midst conversation without even apologizing. She ran away holding her head with both hands expressing herself as “how difficult we are”.
I am sorry, you charge like fine dining, then behave like a fine dining restaurant with its appropriate customer service.
Such procedure, that you get your money back in days (if you get it once you left the country?) is not acceptable.
Once we wanted the receipts for our wrong charges , they even gave us a wrong receipt from a different table or even worst, mixed up bills from different tables and made others pay different table’s. What a mess. Not one apology, basically such behaviour is not acceptable. Instead of making it up with a desert while waiting, the manager ran away pulling her hair, as we were the ones making a mistake. What an attitude. She came back with the difference in cash but again acted like it’s our mistake and how difficult we made her evening in collecting the wrong amount they took,in cash.
Mistakes can happen, but you apologize and make it up but you don’t blame your clients for your own mistakes. Left us basically speechless!
In total wasted more than 30 minutes for this drama, not even a coffee offered while waiting for the manager to sort things out. Would never ever come back!

A local GEM!!! This is a hidden jewel in St Thomas. From your greeting, to the french press coffee with dessert, this experience is worth every cent!
We had the special of the night, Caribbean lobster Mac and cheese, and seafood bouillabaisse. Perfectly prepared and seasoned. Our server Pamela was the perfect mix of attentiveness without hovering.
With an exceptional meal, we went for dessert and I had the Grand Marnier creme brûlée ( WOW) and my husband loved his bread pudding. We have traveled extensively and Oceana is top notch for food and service.

We had a great meal at Oceana during our visit. Dani was our waitress and did a terrific job—friendly, attentive, and helpful with the menu. We started with the oysters, which were fresh and well-prepared.
My wife ordered the salmon with butternut puree, and I went with the 16 oz ribeye and potato gratin. The steak was cooked just right, and everything was served hot and timely.
To finish off the meal, we each had a creamy espresso martini, which made for a nice nightcap.
If you’re looking for a well-cooked meal and a great view, Oceana is worth the stop.

Our entire experience was excellent. The views and atmosphere are perfect! Our drinks, appetizer, salad, dinner, & dessert were all delicious. Adan was great, helpful, and very attentive. Eva is a GEM! Loved everything about the place.
