First visit here. Great little joint! Waitress was awesome! Food was good. Had a western omelet, home fries and a Belgian Waffle. Sausage patty was different. Really enjoyed this local diner and highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area. We will be back to visit again.

Crazy how many good reviews this place has. This has to be the worst place I’ve ever eaten at. The omelet was ok at best and the home fries were absolutely terrible. As far as the pancakes go you can get better pancakes from McDonalds. This is the first time I’ve ever eaten somewhere and thought “im for sure never coming back to this place.”

I was a little unsure if this would be what I was looking for but on Mothers Day weekend, my daughter -n- love and I visited this after a Dr. Apt that had brought us to Jacksonville. We like to support local business when we can and this little diner was a treat. Jamie was our waitress she was very knowledgeable about the menu and super friendly. I had the Mediterranean omelet and it was absolutely delicious. The pancakes smelled amazing though I admit I did not partake, I returned to Oceana on my last visit but they were closed on Tuesday so I did not get to enjoy it a second time. I will be trying to see Jamie again when I am next in Jax.

I ordered a club sandwich. Sandwich was packed full of meat and perfectly cooked. French fries were excellent. The cook who could be the owner was a extremely nice person and thanked me for coming in. And the waitress with South Park socks was extremely nice and bubbly. Very nice to go to a hole in the wall establishment like this and receive good old fashion friendliness. Will definitely be back.

Tried this little place hoping to find that “ hole in the wall “ but this ain’t it unfortunately

– they have two options apparently Raw or burnt , u just don’t get to choose

– potato’s for “ home fries “ came out black , asked for them to be changed for hash browns , currently still waiting for them lol

– bacon in my omelette raw and chewy , ham chunks are huge and barley grilled

– toast not toasted cold bread with cold butter

– grilled cheese barley melted

Coffee was good tho

Great local breakfast location. We were here on a stop over and found this great location. The fish was so light and fluffy, not greasy, well seasoninged. Grits were thick and cheesy. Way more food then I could eat for sure and reasonably priced. The pancake was very large, tasty and fluffy as well. The pork chop came out hot and very delicious. Our waitress was super attentive and very friendly. We will be back on our next visit.

Ok, I don’t write many reviews. Only for the very worst or very best. This was the very best! This is my first time here and I don’t know about some of the bad reviews but this was probably the best hamburger steak lunch I’ve ever had. Service great, atmosphere great, even the low volume music. And excellent prices. I don’t see many people here under 60. With age comes wisdom I guess.

Waitress was awesome, but the food was mediocre, and the utensils were dirty.

Their version of the Monte Cristo was different. I felt it missed the mark of what makes a Monte Cristo, but standalone, it wasn’t bad.

The burger had a large patty, but was very thin, which caused it to start talking apart, making the burger messier than it should have been. It was just a regular burger with lettuce and tomato.

Both plates had only a small handful of fries

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for 3 years and have never found a better server or hostess than Erika! She knows me and my orders by heart.

Never NEVER eat where you are the ‘other’ person. But I was hungry. Could use a coat of paint, five years ago. Could use some dusting, in 2020. The AC split unit looks as if was never cleaned. The eggs Benedict were as far from authentic as possible. Potatoes were dry. English muffin came over on the Mayflower… I’m trying to be kind, just don’t go. So, so, so bland.
