Ion first arrival, one might mistake this place as another cookie cutter with metal chairs and lunch crowd vibe. Don’t let the casual appearance of the dining room fool you. The food coming out of the kitchen is high quality and on point with the cooking and presentation. This is a pricy place with the food to back it up!!

Oceana’s inaugural brunch service hit all the right notes. The menu showcases elevated takes on brunch classics, from beautifully presented lemon ricotta pancakes with fresh berries to an expertly prepared lobster roll, all using the best ingredients.

The service felt genuinely personal and conversational, creating a welcoming atmosphere that balanced professionalism with warmth. Each dish demonstrated careful preparation and thoughtful presentation, justifying the upscale positioning.

For a first-day launch, Oceana delivered an impressive brunch experience that feels both refined and approachable. Worth the splurge for a special occasion or when you want brunch elevated beyond the ordinary.

First, before I talk about the amazing food, let’s talk about our server! She was full of life and knowledge!!! She made recommendations, and when I wanted oysters , I told her to pick for me, and boy did she! I had 4 different types of oysters and she walked me through the flavor profiles!!! You have to see the picture that I will post! It was beautiful!

Okay, now the food! it was a worldly experience! Not only did I have Canadian oysters, but I had Mass (west coast) oysters, I had Washington (east coast) oysters! I had Vietnamese style Seafood stew! Korean cucumber kimchi!

Don’t sleep on this place! Go! Try it! Enjoy it! If you are a foodie, if you like cocktails and wine! This is a place you do not want to miss out on!

Had an incredible date night at Oceana! Our server Morgan was THE BEST!! Her knowledge of the menu and space was so personable. Every dish was 10/10 and we highly recommend going during happy hour as there are so many specials on food and drink. The champagne bar, ambiance, food and staff are great.

Upscale seafood restaurant in San Marco! Oceana has a variety of unique plates on its happy hour menu. Every item we ordered was so amazing!
They have many gluten-free meals so we all can enjoy them! I loved beef carpaccio!! If you like meat, you must try this super fresh high quality raw meat. Oh and they use fresh seafood = RAW OYSTER BAR
They have a beautiful private room and it’s perfect for Christmas gatherings, business meetings, showers, and birthday parties, yet elegant enough for a seated dinner party.
Great for girls’ night or a date night

Dope spot! Elegant boutique upscale good eats vibes!!! The place is small but cute! The atmosphere is very after work, date night, dinner with the girls type of vibe. The food was really good! Not a fan of raw oysters but I indulged a little, very tasty to say the least. I’m only sad I didn’t try the crème brûlée! Totally forgot to get dessert the vibes were too good, but 10/10 will visit again!

This gorgeous restaurant is located in San Marco! Oceana serves a variety of unique dishes, and I highly recommend booking a reservation during happy hour. it’s the perfect time to sample a wide selection of their menu at amazing prices.

We tried several dishes, and each was incredible in its own way.

Oceana also offers delicious handcrafted cocktails and mocktails, making it a great spot for the whole family. We especially appreciated the large variety of gluten-free options.

The restaurant layout is another highlight. You can enjoy your meal on the outdoor patio, in the indoor dining area, at the bar, or at the oyster bar. They also have a beautiful private room, perfect for group gatherings.

What We Tried
– Blood Orange Margarita
– Classic Martini
– Kimchi Brussels Sprouts
– Oysters
– Tuna Poke
– Insalata di Mare
– Lobster Burrata
– Caviar Service

In our opinion they have the:
⭐ Best oysters in Jacksonville
⭐ Best Brussels sprouts in Jacksonville

A special shoutout to Mathew, who provided us with outstanding service. He knew the menu inside and out and gave us excellent recommendations.

We’ve already RSVP’d for our next visit—I can’t wait to try the mussels and clams dish!

I swung by Oceana Taverna for Happy Hour, and let me tell you—it did not disappoint. The menu had me questioning why I don’t do Happy Hour more often.

First up, I ordered the Kimchi Brussels Sprouts, and wow—who knew Brussels Sprouts could have a glow-up like that? I also went in hard on the fresh oysters (yes, two orders, because restraint is overrated). The shark bites were my favorite—I assume named for their bite-sized deliciousness, not an actual shark encounter.

Then came the famous Truffle Fries because, let’s be real, you can’t not order them. They were so good I briefly considered writing them a love letter.

For drinks, I kicked things off with a Strawberry Lemon Drop—sweet, tangy, and just the right level of “this will sneak up on you.” Once that was gone (RIP), I moved on to a Strawberry Margarita, because when in doubt, double down on strawberries.

Now, here’s where things get interesting. We asked about oyster shooters, and while they weren’t on the menu, our waiter—who deserves a raise, a medal, or both—went rogue and made us some with Bloody Mary mix and vodka. Different? Yes. Unexpected? Also yes. But you’ve got to respect the effort, and for that, I give it an A+ for innovation and a solid B for “this is definitely an acquired taste.”

Meanwhile, my friend tried the crab legs and gazpacho soup and declared both “amazing,” so it’s safe to say she was equally living her best life.

All in all, this was exactly the kind of Happy Hour my soul (and stomach) needed. I’ll definitely be back—possibly just for the fries and some more of those rogue oyster shooters.

In the middle of the beautiful San Marco shopping district this seafood bistro was a happy find.

The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet yet comfortable enough to welcome you without reservations or over the top dress code.

The food however was the real star. From the kimchi brussel sprouts and the ceviche tostada to the grilled oysters, and finally, the hanger steak with Bordelaise sauce the dishes were prepared well.

My only hang up, that keeps this from being a five, is the hanger steak was cut with the grain of meat making one of my favorite cuts rediculously chewy. A nearly unpardonable sin for meat eaters, yet easily correctable. It also could have used a bit more seasoning. We noted to the manager on duty, he apologized and thanked us for the feedback. Or maybe the lesson here is just don’t order steak in a place that says they specialize in seafood? But, I refuse to believe these people are incapable of excellence in all areas.

All in all I would definitely eat here again because every other item we ordered was so spot on and so delicious that it had his grinning from ear-to-ear throughout the meal.
