Updated 06/27/25: While they have been my go-to Pho place for a few years, I found a new one across the way that wasn’t so salty. I love the basil it’s one of the best things about the soup but this time, the basil was old and wilted. I’ll skip this place next time.

Well… I was prepared to write a raving review but after reading Nicolas Metz’ review about the mouse and insects, I’m feeling grossed out and am not sure I will eat here again… But then again, that’s the price you pay for eating out. In my experience, even the nicest restaurants can have the same issues or worse!
With that said, we ordered out and upon pickup the staff was very nice. Our PHO was delicious, not overly salty as some can be, packaged/separated well for pickup.
Updated 10/08/23: The Pho is still delicious but it’s gotten awfully salty! It tastes like there’s a tablespoon or two of salt in my soup. I get it, broth needs salt, but moderation never killed anyone! I usually love sipping the soup but just can’t.

Today I came in and ordered a oxtail with broth to go. I got home and was upset with what I received. Extremely overcooked oxtail, not chewable and mainly all bone!!!

I have never had the pleasure of trying Pho, I took care of that at Ocean Pho Restaurant in Yucaipa. I have always saw food shows displaying the Vietnamese soup. I can only describe Pho as Rice Noodle Soup on Steroids! the broth was amazingly tasty and delicious. Ocean Pho’s staff was friendly and kind. It’s was a great dining experience.

Opted for the Hu Tieu since they were out of oxtail pho. Sad face! Hu Tieu was good. My buddy got the pho combination. Looked really good. Calamari was overly salty, but let our server know and she remedied the problem without hassle. Great service. The chicken wings were on the bland side, but cooked well. Just needed some salt or brine the chicken wings before. Spring rolls were good also.

Since 2016, I’ve been eating at this excellent Vietnamese restaurant called Ocean Pho in Yucaipa California (there’s also one in Redlands as well). This Vietnamese restaurant offers a wide selection of delicious Vietnamese soups and other dishes alongside exotic fruit smoothies, iced teas, and salted drinks. The Soups are easily the house specialty and the big comforting bowls will fill you up with delight. The 2 I always order are the Pho Special Combination : steak, flank, brisket, tendon, tripe, & beef meatballs and the Seafood Combination Pho : shrimp, squid, fish balls, & imitation crab. As I mentioned earlier, there’s a wide range of fruit smoothies including exotic flavors such as lychee, honeydew, mung bean, taro, avocado, durian, jackfruit, red bean, and green bean. Overall I highly recommend eating at the Ocean Pho, especially if you want a big bowl of soup to satisfy you on a cold day.

Best place for Vietnamese food in Yucaipa. I prefer OC, but I am not driving that distance… to me, their food is a bit too salty, but my husband loves it. It’s good to get that fix when you want pho or spring rolls. Great Thai tea, and I like their taro smoothie. Amazing customer service, we go once a month and they remember us every time. Husband always gets the pho special and I get the shrimp spring rolls.

The food is delicious and authentic, their menu offers a variety of Vietnamese dishes but I always go there for the Pho and I’ve tried most of their various combinations, the service is always great and the staff always make you feel welcome.
