I really enjoyed the atmosphere here, especially the ocean view from the balcony. The server was attentive, and drinks came out in about 2 minutes—super fast. The food also came quickly, looked great, and was impressive overall. The only downside was when the live singer started—the first songs were fine, but then it got extremely loud, to the point where it was uncomfortable and impossible to have a conversation. We ended up finishing our food quicker just to get out of that area. On the other hand, the game zone side area was much more chill.

My family was bummed that a hurricane messed up our beach trip but while walking the boardwalk we stumbled upon this restaurant and it is the best hidden gem. Mandy was our server and she was an absolute peach. She was friendly and enthusiastic. She provided the best service. She was the best part of our visit. The food was delicious. Everything was fresh. Like farm to table fresh. The drinks were strong and not watered down for my drinkers out there. The shrimp tacos were flavorful. My dad had the French quarter and it was also delicious especially with the added shrimp. The music was good as well. You will be singing, eating, and dancing at the table. I would recommend this restaurant 1000x over! If you’re in town stop by you won’t regret it.

Came in for some drinks in the early evening after dinner. The Miller Lite was cold and in a bottle. The vibe was outstanding. How could it not be with outdoor seating, live music, and ocean breach views. Love the ocean breeze salt air. Bartender was courteous and attentive.

Olga, our server, was very sweet and attentive. We had 2 chicken salads, muscles & clams boil, and fish & chips. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Portion size was perfect. The corn for the muscles and clams was fresh, not the tiny, previously frozen stuff. The hush puppies are worth a mention, very tasty! I had a Blue Hawaiian adult beverage, and it was made well.
We ate on the outside deck and enjoyed a nice breeze and view of the beach.

Ocean House had an amazing interior with lots of cool marine themed decorations. Sadly, that is the only good part of the restaurant for me. The Buffalo sauce had a weird smell and taste, and the cauliflower fries were cold. There weren’t any napkins or utensils on the table even after respectfully asking multiple times. There also was no hostess to guide us to where to sit, along with barely any waitors working on a Friday night. They really need to hire more staff particularly waitors and a front of house to keep the place going as it is unfair to the current staff to be expected to manage all of the traffic coming in and it does not feel welcoming at all. But what really negatively impacted my experience the most was finding multiple hairs in my coleslaw. After that, I didn’t feel like eating anymore. This place has a lot of potential but it is being squandered by bad decisions likely stemming from perceived short-term financial gains.

We went because of a beautifully colored ad in the Virginia tourist magazine. When we got there, half the restaurant was closed. The host at the desk was young rude and not interested in helping us. Nothing was as advertised. We ended up sitting upstairs on bar stools getting served on paper and plastic utensils. The bar tender that waited on us was very kind. The drinks are overpriced with barely any alcohol. We sent it back. Would not recommend this place. Overall, the environment and dinner were a dud. (See my photos)

The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered a stuffed seared fish, and it truly was the best fish I’ve had in quite some time. It was cooked to perfection, with a crispy outer layer that gave way to tender, flaky flesh underneath. The seasoning was spot on, enhancing the natural flavors without overpowering them. For dessert, I indulged in the butter cake, which was rich and decadent, melting in my mouth with each bite. It had a delightful buttery flavor that left me craving more. Our waitress, Emily, was a standout during our meal. She had a warm, bubbly personality that made us feel right at home, and her attentive service added to the overall enjoyable dining experience.

We had dinner on Saturday and overall it was pretty good. We had 4 and a baby and they sat us right between 2 other tables which I didn’t like. They weren’t busy and I would’ve liked up have sat away from everyone with my crying baby. We didn’t like the crab dip and the crackers left a lot to be desired. The banging shrimp, Baja tacos and burger were all good. The shrimp didn’t come out untill everyone was already done eating which was unfortunate. The place was definitely decorated nice and our server was sweet

I picked this restaurant based off the menu photos listed online, wanting seafood that wasn’t fried – unfortunately, the menu I received at seating only featured fried seafood (aside from crab clusters). Still, I made the best of it and ordered basically a sampler of seafood. Not being a fan of fried, it was still pretty good and the crab cake was massive! Service was wonderful, friendly, and thorough – the salad I received in place of fries was very filling and fresh. Overall, a great experience with dining alongside the beach

Food was good. Service was not, was sat by the hostess then ignored by whoever our waitress was supposed to be for 20 mins, meanwhile the table sat behind us and after us was already eating there appetizers when another waitress noticed we were abandon. Thankfully Miranda stepped in and made sure we were served. Food was good, traditional style hush puppies, strong drinks, very good crab cakes and a burger. Inside was loud but the deck was nice and calm, great view of the beach.
