My partner and i ordered the chicken & scallop and steak and scallop habachi combo. First the miso soup and the small salads came out. Both good although the salad was iceberg (we prefer mixed greens) but the ginger dressing made up for that! Next came the entres and OMG they were incredible. Both entres were cooked perfectly, the chicken was soooo tender! The steak was a perfect medium rare. The side of veggies were great AND the fried browm rice was spectacular. Mai Tais were good as well (you could actually taste the alcohol). Great ambiance. Took photo ops with the life size lobster and pirate figures on the property. The prices we felt were very fair.

Food is great. Had to wait several minutes after we arrived before anyone greeted us. The bill is sneaky. It automatically adds a 20% tip then shows tip options on top of that. Be careful or you can double tip. Chris was a great server!

Had the fried calamari as an appetiser, then the steak and scallop and the steak and shrimp hibachi grill main courses, which came with miso soup, salad, fried rice and stir fry vegetables. They were all absolutely excellent, as were the cocktails. Our waitress, Jessica was amazing – helpful, friendly and really efficient. Highly recommended and will certainly come again

Five stars isn’t enough for this place. Huge and pleasant surprise. Food was fresh and excellent. Oysters were the best we’ve ever had. Yamil, our server, was so friendly, attentive and gave us awesome recommendations. The atmosphere was so vibrant and comfortable too. Even the bathrooms were spotless and smelled amazing. Prices were incredible too, which is saying a lot for this environment. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been to such a perfect restaurant. Highly, highly recommend.

Great experience at this new restaurant, the food was beyond amazing, our server walked us through everything on the menu and we even got a little post card with our photos on it to take back with us. Overall a great first experience for someone who’s not from Florida. Best cheesecake I’ve ever had.

We popped in for lunch on a random Monday. Our server Nicole was very welcoming and quick. We ordered Boiled Clams. I requested drawn butter which Nicole brought to our table. The Margarita was as excellent. On our way out we met the GM and he treated us like an old friend. Gave be this to lace a try. It just opened but they operate like they have been there for a long time.

We finally decided to give Ocean House a try, and honestly, we went in with a bit of a sigh. This location has seen so many restaurants come and go – two duds before this, in our experience – so we were definitely a little hesitant. But the craving for some good seafood was strong, and you can’t beat the convenience of the spot.
From the outside, it looks inviting, even fun. But pulling into that surprisingly empty parking lot on a Sunday afternoon did make us pause. And then, we stepped inside. This is where things got a little frustrating. There was no hostess in sight, and we just stood there in the waiting area feeling pretty invisible. Servers kept walking right past us, eyes glued away, clearly avoiding any kind of contact. It was genuinely unwelcoming, and I’ll admit, we were seriously close to just turning around and leaving. Luckily, a hostess finally appeared and got us seated promptly.
Thankfully, from that moment on, things really turned around. And a huge part of that was Chris, our server and bartender. He was absolutely wonderful from start to finish – attentive, friendly, just a real pro. He truly made our meal enjoyable.
Now, for the food! My seafood boil was truly excellent. It was fresh, packed with flavor, and exactly what I was hoping for. My husband, though, wasn’t quite as impressed with his hibachi. He really missed the interactive, fresh-off-the-grill experience you get at other hibachi places. So, a bit of a mixed review there.
Overall, our experience at Ocean House ended up being just “okay.” The quality of the seafood and Chris’s fantastic service were definite highlights. But that initial feeling of being overlooked when we walked in really stuck with us.
Ocean House has all the potential to be a fantastic seafood destination. They just desperately need to work on their front-door welcome. Even a simple, “Welcome to Ocean House! Someone will be right with you,” or “Have you been helped?” would make a world of difference. A little warmth and acknowledgment right at the start can go a long way in making guests feel valued and excited to come back.
