We recently went there for a corporate get-together at Ocean Grill, Sector 5. While the ambiance and initial service worked well for a team outing, the food experience was a bit of a rollercoaster.
Starters: The High Point
The starters were generally the crowd favorite of the afternoon. The chicken kebabs, wings, and chicken lollipop were exceptional—perfectly seasoned and disappeared from the table instantly. The veg starters were decent enough, though they didn’t receive as much praise as the meat.
However, we did encounter some consistency issues; the fish kebabs were occasionally found to be a little undercooked, which was a letdown for a grill-specialty restaurant.
Main Course: Needs Significant Improvement
The main course was where the experience stumbled, which is tough when you have a large hungry team to feed.
Temperature Issues: The Biryani and several other side dishes were served rather cold, which really took away from the flavor.
Delayed Refills: As a corporate group, we noticed a significant lag in service; refilling the buffet counters was delayed, leaving several containers empty for too long.
Taste: A few items were quite bland, lacking the robust flavors we expected after such a strong start with the chicken.
Desserts: A Solid Recovery
The meal ended on a positive note. The desserts were good and offered a lot of variety, which was great for our team as there was something for everyone to choose from.
The Verdict: It’s a fair choice for a team lunch if you’re looking for a variety of desserts and great chicken starters, but the management needs to work on their main course temperature and refill speed to truly cater to corporate groups.

Located at the heart of salt Lake ocean grill is a seafood lover’s paradise. They have a very impressive variety of fresh seafood options in the buffet menu, starting from squid, octopus to crab. Food was extremely good and flavorful, and the staff was friendly. Highly recommended to all the seafood lovers.

If you are tired of having the same buffet at BBQ Nation and AB’s, then this is the one yous hould try out. It has a great buffet menu. The starters are amazing and the biriyani is also good. The dessert menu is awesome.
Their speciality lies with the sea food. Don’t forget to try them. The buffet is priced around 999/-. The ambience is not that good though.

They don’t allow smoking although they serve alcohol. They have a very small congested room as smoking room. You have to go there if you really want to smoke.
Also, no music ( atleast when I visited on a Thursday evening.)

Probably the best buffet restrurent in kolkata, considering the price point. Being a knowledgeable person on food preparation, I must say their starters are way beyond then other buffets, especially pizza, kababs, Mourolla kasundi etc.
Haven’t tried many main courses so can’t say more for each of the items. But we have only tried their Mutton biriyani from the main course, and it was way beyond then our imagination. Their Mutton biriyani can give good competition to most of the renowned biriyani outlets in Kolkata.
Few suggestions: the dessert section needs to be improved, they invested a lot on their dessert, but few things like icecream, needs to be included.
Even as Cut fruits will be a good items to add.

It contains the welcome drink , starters, main course and desert section.
Ambiance is well maintained and clean.
