We have been operating since 1999 and offer a wide variety of fish dinners as well as prawns, oysters, calamari, clam, catfish, red snapper, deep fried fresh vegetables, chicken, and hamburgers and teriyaki. A large selection of side dishes are available. John says “Everything is Fresh.”

This is hands down THE BEST, fish and chips in town. And you know im serious, cause I did all caps. Here is the run down…fish is light, flaky NOT GREASY, the popcorn shrimp is addictive, the onion rings thick and delicious (my new nickname), the clam chowder is nice and steady with no surprises, the calamari is perfectly cooked delight. Yeah I ordered waaaay too much. It was worth it! As for the service, they were kind and treated us like guests in their home. Top notch customer service.

Holy moly, I freaking LOVE this place! The owners and all of the employees are nice and just cool! Their place is always clean, food is always spot-on, their homemade tartar sauce is perfectly addictive and I get a craving every week or so for the Ocean and we just have to go! Give this place a shot, even their new bags have little holes punched in the bottom so the food doesn’t get all soggy on the trip home. Locally owned and operated, so that’s a huge plus!!!

Such good food, their batter is awesome! The wifey got a side of onion rings and she couldn’t finish them, they were still just as crispy even after a couple hours. Definitely appreciate they use clean oil, couldnt taste it at all, the Catfish was nice and the hushpuppies were amazing, they didnt even make it home.

The food was super fresh and tasty! It’s priced very reasonably. You can tell they use nice clean oil and don’t let it get old. The service was friendly and excellent. They made sure we had everything we needed and even came back mid meal to check if we needed anything else like more lemons. I will 1,000% be coming back.

Service was super friendly, had no coffee but they do have tea cold and sodas. I ordered two piece and coleslaw. I wish they had like a more horseradish cocktail sauce but I believe it was a mayo base. Food was fresh and taste great.

My husband and I decided to try this place today and it was amazing! I had the teriyaki bowl and he had the fish and chips both were perfect. They also had a good variety of fountain drinks, the tea was very good. The atmosphere was perfect a very cute environment. The wonderful people who helped us were the sweetest and provided the best service I’ve ever had.

Ocean Fish & Chips is a historic fish & chips spot serving the Sacramento community for 20+ years. I’ll say that it is one of the best and most consistent fish & chips spots in Sacramento. The fish is big, light, crispy, and perfect with the AYCE tartar sauce. You do not have to pay for extra Tatar sauce, which is quite rare for most fish and chips spots. You get your own squeeze bottle. The actual fish is a little underseasoned but that’s okay sometimes and dipping in the tartar sauce fixes that. 3 piece fish and chips feeds more than enough for 2 people.
Crab cakes are frozen but very consistent and never disappoint. It’s salty, crispy, and has a strong crab flavoring. The chowder tasted homemade and tasted like average consistent chowder.
