After literally driving past this place for 30 years finally took the family here. Food was ok but nothing crazy special in terms of Chinese… serviceable.
The portion sizes were up there though which made up for that, and the salt and pepper chicken was a big standout.
Scallop omelette was top notch on and a big portion.
Service maybe a little slow, but was a fairly busy Sunday night.

Delicious food… One of the best Chinese meals I’ve had whilst in Australia! Does anyone know when this place opened as my friends said it’s been many years!

Love this busy authentic Chinese restaurant with a fantastic view of the Indian Ocean. The food is beautiful and freshly cooked. Think we’ve eaten the entire menu! It’s very busy in here so always best to book. Never seems to be enough wait staff for the volume of diners.

Food was decent. But service by the single waitress was lacking attention. She would rather do other things first like packing prawn crackers, cleaning up and God knows what else rather than serving already seated customers. Just too hard. Lunch special for 2 turned out to be over $50 for prawn crackers that was extra charge.

If you’re looking for great Chinese food paired with a awesome Ocean view, Ocean Dragon Chinese Restaurant is an absolute must. The food here is consistently delicious but make sure you time your visit to watch the sunset, it just elevates the whole experience, watching the sky change colours over the water while you dine is something truly special.
My personal favourites are the Satay Beef, Honey Chicken, and the Sizzling Mongolian Lamb, all packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. The special fried rice is another standout, easily one of the best you’ll find and the perfect companion to any dish.
While the service is fairly average, this is the kind of place where the food and the views are the real stars. If you come here for a relaxing meal with incredible scenery and comforting Chinese, you won’t be disappointed and you will leave full as the portion sizes are reasonable.

Food was ok, nothing spectacular but no complaints either. Service was satisfactory, atmosphere was ok and quiet because there were only 3 tables when we were there. Unsure how it is if it was full house.

Absolutely stunning meal A few weeks ago on a Saturday night they weren’t far off closing and we were desperate for somewhere to eat. I was with my son and four of his friends. I couldn’t believe how accommodating staff were late at night when they probably all just wanted to go home, the food was fresh and beautiful. The Salt/Pepper King prawns were to die for as was the fried rice, satay chicken and noodles.
And the view is something else

We did’t receive our starters that we had ordered even after asking about them, when the mains arrived the fried rice was cold and we where missing one of the dishes that we had ordered but when we received the bill they had charged us for food that we had not received. It was also very loud which made having a conversation very hard.

Don’t bother ordering for pickup unless you want to wait more than 1 hour. Promises of being ready in 30 minutes in there own app, then you get to wait for another half hour to actually get your order.
And this was a Wednesday. Imagine what it’s like on the weekend.

The tables are PACKED in tightly so very hard to hear people if you are with a crowd (there were 12 of us). The service was very slow and although we were there at 6pm we didn’t get any food until 7.40 (one of our crowd is a type I diabetic). We were served STALE prawn crackers and complained. We were given fresh prawn crackers but when the bill came we found we had been charged $4.50 per bowl (we had 3 bowls). Surely if you have served stale prawn crackers and a complaint has been made then the next bowls should be without charge? The food itself was very tasty. Toilets were disgusting and we would not go back there.
